Default Who you got for AL Rookie of the Year?

Coming into the season I would have gone for Dan Straily (I guess I'm a biased A's fan), but he has looke terrible this Spring. He is still an under-the-radar sleeper pick, he was leading all of pro baseball in K's when he got called up to the Majors. I think Wil Myers has the capabilites to put up Frank Thomas type offensive numbers, he is going to be amazing, so he is my current pick. If anyone can have a Mike Trout type impact this season, I think it's Myers.

Unfortunately the poll only allows me to go to ten choices. I wanted to put the following as options also:

Danny Hultzen
TaiJuan Walker
Bruce Rondon
Jackie Bradley Jr.
Nick Castellanos
Kevin Gausman

I think out of the 3 Rangers represented, Martin has the best shot. Profar has not been impressive this spring, and Olt probably won't get the at-bats in the majors this year to make any sort of contribution.

Much as I think Mike Olt is the top player there, I don't see him getting too much playing time on an incredibly strong Texas squad. I think Wil Myers will take the award.

Profar nor Olt will get as much time as Leonys for texas, I think Hicks will get the most time in the bigs so best chance.

Even though I'm not a big fan - I'm going to guess Bauer simply because hes going to get the best shot of it from the start - he has stuff if he can get his head and command down (maybe the move will help him) and he matures a bit I think he will get it. Although I dont think there is a sure fire ROY this year

He won't even be the MVP of his team. Either Hamilton or Pujols will have a huge season if not both which I hate to say as a Rangers fan. As for ROY, I will pick Profar. Maybe a little biased, but he is the #1 prospect.

Is Teheran still eligible ? No sure what the exact rules are. I know it's something to do with how much playing time you have in the majors or something like that.

Out of the ones listed I'll go Bradley Jr. because he's likely going to get the most playing time. The rest are mid to late season callups at best.

JBJ isn't listed, and he will most likely start at AAA and stay there for the majority of the year or whenever they trade Ellsbury.

I'm going Myers. He's going to be put into a big role in Tampa and I think he's going to thrive.

They've been talking about wanting to wait the 10 days to delay free agency, and the call him up to play left. Papi's injury complicates things because JBJ is the best bat available to replace him, but they could lose a year of control unless they send hm back down at some Lou t for 20 consecutive days.

With the way the Red Sox financials are, they really shouldn't worry about that. They're not the Marlins or the A's, they have a little bit of Scrilla'.

Yes, Julio Teheran is still eligible. Now that his pitching coach has decided to stop messing with his mechanics and let him go back to his original form he is showing tons of promise. He posted great numbers in Winter League and he has been absolutely dominant in spring training. Yes, I know, you can't really predict a players regular season based on spring training numbers but you can still get an impression of the possibilities. These numbers right here show signs of excellent improvement...

2012 Spring Training (When coaches told him to alter his mechanics)
9.37 ERA 1.84 WHIP 16.1 IP 10 SO 8 BB 18 ER 22 H 9 HR .319 avg
2013 Spring Training (Back to his original form)
1.29 ERA 0.57 WHIP 14 IP 18 SO 4 BB 2 ER 4 H 1 HR .087 avg

I'd say that is some vast improvement. His last outing he pitched 5 innings and didn't give up a single hit. I'm excited to watch him pitch this year, he'll have the fifth spot in the rotation all to himself until at least July when Beachy returns. If he is pitching really well at the time Beachy returns it's possible they could have Beachy throw in relief until he is fully recovered from Tommy John surgery or maybe have a six pitcher rotation like last year.
