No announcements so far today, but I figured I'd remind you all.

Assuming no further delays, we are exactly one month from release.

That is true. Now I gotta turn it up a notch and get 4 or 5 more cases ordered.

Made some changes I think personally are off. No way Adam Eaton goes for 5, his Gypsy Queen auto is going for 10-15 bucks, his chrome auto will easily surpass that.

A Trevor Rosenthal auto would be nice, especially since he doesn't have one anywhere, in any product.

Nobody I'm really high on in this checklist. Doesn't really do much for me. Buxton is a tool shed, but we've seen what's happened with Starling; stuck in the low minors while we wait for all that athleticism to turn in to a good baseball player. Correa is promising but light years away. Giolito is the only other big guy for me, and he has big boom or bust potential as well. Miller, Bundy, and Machado rookie autos will be nice, but if Topps does RC autos like it did in last year's Bowman, they will be hard pulls.

I just don't see the once in a lifetime product many are projecting 2013 Bowman to be.

I second this. I think everyone is so excited because everyone is always excited for Bowman.

With that said, there are a couple of guys that I will be prospecting pretty hard.

Glad it's not! I need to see AT LEAST one more on that checklist!

Although even more would be awesome.

If you truly know your minors then you know a number of these guys have the tools to be stars in the majors. Bowman is becoming the home of the International Free Agents and that's good for true prospectors, most part-time prospectors only know how to read Draft Picks and hype. The product for them is in November, when you can see what round someone went in. This product so far is amazing and I cant wait to see what else is up that sleeve.

Interesting take ... may seem trivial but I did not really see the difference between Bowman and BDPP until now.

Correa, Buxton, and Giolito are all 2012 1st rounders, but I agree with you. This crop is deep with players in A ball or below with potential. The current value may not be high on most, but I think there will be lots of room for growth. There are guys who have already performed well in the minors as well.

The masses will be surprised by this, but as you can see from some comments, prospectors are aligning their targets.

They have to push over some top draft picks, they do every year. Topps still has a product to sell, they need to be able to hype it to those that are unaware of minor league stats. I'm okay with that, just make sure I can get enough first

Those who only look for the big names may not see much difference in this product compared to others. The people doing the research should though. This autograph checklist is amazing. Not to mention the added chrome mini's which I think will be red hot themselves. Some people may have doubts, but I been in love with this product from the beginning. I have told people to buy and buy while watching the jumbo price go from $950 to $1000 to $1050 to $1100 to $1150 to $1250 to $1350. At some point the doubters just have to admit they were wrong.

PS....The price will continue to go up IMO.

I agree with you completely. I am, as you so elegantly put it , a "part time prospector". I'm starting to do it more and more but most of what I have to go of of is what I can find to read. I know all of the big names and know some about the mid to low level guys but not as much as I would like. Draft Picks is easier because the round 1 guys sell more than the round 2 guys......etc. Bowman offers more in that most of the players are established minor leaguers with a few top draft picks mixed in. I do prefer Bowman however over Draft because it usually sets the tone for the rest of the Bowman products of the year in the way of design, inserts, new parralels(ice last year), and it usually features the first RC autos of the bigger name's.
