Love all the back an forth comments in this page. I love baseball and collecting and have been for a while. While I may only bust a case a year unlike many of you who crack 10 per bowman release if not more, I enjoy the hype of a product. Lets be realistic. A guy who's top 100 today may be bottom 100 tomorrow. So prospecting and collecting is like a stock market. Buy low sell high. We all may have PC choices. We all may believe someone's ceiling is higher then what that player is doing today. Bottom line I don't care about production runs or checklist amounts. When a guy is hot he's hot and people will buy them. If we knew what these kids will be like 3 years from now then out decisions to buy will be a lot easier. But hey we don't, and I enjoy watching these kids grow into studs or
Duds.
We all crack chrome for color anyways. That ain't going to change. Orange is still/25 golds/50 etc. bring it on bowman. I'm cracking my first jumbo case. For those people who think regular chromes ain't worth anything, maybe your right. Maybe your wrong. Ill take them off your hands and ill even pay for shipping.

I'm guessing since they are not signed they will be sticker autos? Or you guys think they had them sign after the pic was taken. Kind of a bummer if its a sticker auto /5

I'll put money on it. It's sticker for sure.

I agree. If they aren't chrome, I don't think they will be on card, as they are "variation" autos.

it doesn't say chrome, therefore it is paper and that is unfortunate as it probably will end up dinged and chipped quite easily

Topps gets those signed at the time of the different high school AS games which is why they are on card.

they're not variations....... they are their own insert auto set (Black Ice).

BTW, most of the variation paper autos to the base set in previous Bowman releases have been on card.

Correa has a very nice looking auto and it fits in the white auto panel very nicely.

Buxton needs to make his auto bigger, he signs so small. Looks like off-centered cards will really stand out.

I agree that OC's will stand out but I like Chrome cards with the wide borders. I think the color refractors look a lot better.

So is Topps officially done with the "1st Bowman Chrome" label? I worry this makes it easier to make 2nd and 3rd year prospect cards. Some of the guys in this prospect set had 1st chrome cards in Draft so I worry this is the new norm. Like to hear your opinions on this

Well Matt Magill's stock may rise, he makes his MLB debut tonight for the Dodgers. If he does well this could bode well for his prices out the gate.

Actually was thinking the same thing while digging through my 2011 Bowman to dig a few of his RCs. I'm stoked cause I'm actually going to the game tonight. Hope he does well but with all the money the Dodgers have committed to pitching its gonna be hard for him to stick this year unless he is lights out. I just hope he gets some run support in his debut.
