I wouldn't necessarily say underrated since his autos still sell better than 90% of the other names Topps has under contract this year, but I do think his ceiling is still high since he has yet to approach Trout/Harper type hobby hype. If he plays well and the A's make the playoffs you'll start to see his name more and more.

I like him alot I just don't have the means to plunk down the money on his cards because I am on a yearly budget and things like this happen when you have 3 kids .

I don't think it is as much a talent doubt but his age that keeps prospectors/collectors from driving his prices higher. If he was 20 yo his cards would be way more expensive.

Underrated in the hobby for good reason. Spent most of his career playing elsewhere, and prospectors avoided him in the past due to his age...

Ha, it's funny that Soler outsells him when the Soler projection is that they hope he will be as good as cespedes.

You could probably say that for every prospect in baseball.

Their first autos released in the same year... Hence my comparison. Also, Cespedes isn't a 38 year old vet.

One of the factors to consider is that Soler has a 1st BC auto, where as Cespedes autos are RC versions.

They said the same thing about "Ryan Howard" and now look and I make it no secret I like Cespedes a real lot but I just don't have those kinds of pockets and if I had a nice stash I would hold.
