Thumbs down Another Injury For Travis d'Arnaud

This guy just can't catch a break.

Fouled a ball off his foot last night.

@MarcCarig D'Arnaud headed back to NYC to be examined. He's in a walking boot, non displaced fracture of 1st metatarsal left foot.

He's going to have to learn how to play first base sooner rather than later. I know this was a freak injury but the book is slowly being written on him as injury prone.

Ya if a player is prone to injuries doesn't look good.....Long term.

Especially when most of the injuries involve his knees and feet and he plays catcher

If I were the Mets id trade him off for some other top prospects. They have Plawecki who IMO will be one of the better catchers in baseball in the next few years.

In a related story, Wil Myers fouled a ball off his foot today and was yanked early, but is only day-to-day.

:sigh of relief:

This. Not that I'm happy he's hurt because I really like him as a player and hope he pans out but, I sold high on him at what I think his peak price will be (about a month ago).
