Default Curious Yu Darvish bowman chrome refractor auto w/pic ... what the??

I have seen this on ebay before ... WITHOUT the autograph. They call it a "test" version that was used as a proof ... even saying "certified topps autograph". This is the only one I have seen with an autograph. What are your thoughts on this? Have you seen this before?

That was my first thought too. It looks nothing like his autograph from what I have seen. Very sad that this is something that looks like it is topps certified though.

You can see the obvious start and stop points that are a dead giveaway of an amateur forger.

Looks exactly like he took 10 minutes to trace it slowly.

That's terrible. That card would have been cool without that terrible forgery.

This was my 1st thought. WTF is up with these people if your gonna try to rob someone why even put "test" in the title? Never the less some jack ass will pay $500 for it...

There has been a bunch of Huggins and Scott auctions in the last few months that are uncut "test" sheets of superfractors as well as uncut test sheets of auto cards.
One of which included an unsigned 2010 topps chrome Aroldis Chapman gold refractor "Auto".
Note that Chapman was not released in 2010 topps chrome.

I supsect that this is a similar card that they decided to scrap altogether and use a different pic. The uncut test sheet got sold and cut up and then someone (be it the buyer of the cut card or the buyer of the sheet) then decided to take advantage of the "opportunity" to fake an auto.

Hopefully DavePeters will buy this card.

lol...terrible forgery. He could have easily removed the auto and kept practicing until he got one that is really smooth.

Sending it to Topps will do nothing as anyone with an IQ over 50 would know letting blank cards with "certified autograph" printed on them get out is a bad idea. They know, they just don't care. When you have a monopoly you don't have to care.

I saw this card in person(or at least I assume it is the same), it looks far worse then the picture shows. The size is off, the card is scratched to heck, and there is tape on the back of the card! I feel bad for the poor kid that bought this card. I almost didn't have the heart to tell him it was fake. You should see the Nolan Ryan auto that he got from the guy, so bad.
