This is too pretty to only be worth $8 total with shipping.

This might be the worst time to release a product. Early, on a firday right before a long weekend.

So many big names in the set w/on-card autos and cheap parallels.

Can't wait til the first few I've bought come in, I'm sure these look grate in person!

Does anyone know what size toploader/one-tough these fit in?
I fit mine in 100pt and seemed like a good fit.

other than Puig there don't appear to be any SSP, although Buxton and probably a few others are clearly SP compared to commons (more than twice as many base Piscotty as Buxton on ebay etc). Range is probably something like 500-1500 (and I think 50 or less base Puigs).
Would Puig sign less cards than two of the parallels? Maybe like 250 or something but only 50? I don't buy that.

yes, because Topps is cheap?

I'm just going by the fact that there have been less base listed on ebay than either gold or blue. don't really know what's up with that, but not unreasonable to guess that there are <100 base.

I bought an Albert Almora numbered to 75 last night for 28 bucks! I love the fact that people are having a fire sale!

same thing is happening with exquisite football singles.
look for inception cases to rise in price over the next month or so.
short printed product and a great checklist from a major company = winner

Said it once before, and I'll say it again...inception singles won't hold value over time just like in football.

Still, if you're able to get singles for dirt cheap, there's still always room for profit once they get called up. But that same thing can be said about just about any product.

Football and baseball is apples and oranges. They are great looking cards and right now I think the prices are pretty good. How can you go wrong on a 7.00 Brad Miller on card auto? I won't buy the wax, but I'm stocking on singles.

They're not always apples and oranges. Pretty sure Five Star did the same in baseball as well. And I put inception right in the exact same category as 5 star.

Five star baseball has been pretty consistent. Overpriced wax out of the chute but the better auto's values haven't changed much. A little fluctuation here and there, but overall pretty stable. I think the overall price stability is pretty amazing considering the condition issues.

Actually some are much higher... I know at one point I was buying Hank Aaron 5 Star autos for just under $100, now they are in the $130-$150 range. The initial fire sales (like what is going on now with inception) is the time to buy singles.

I think the "RC" Logo does seem to have an impact - mainly on the newer collectors. I know Trout and Harper are an exception to the rule, their their 2011, 2012, 2013 rookies seem to keep selling well, eventhough they have 500 different rookies, the base ones with the RC logo on them appear to continue selling well

Bought another box of Inception a couple days ago. I'm a big fan of the design, on card auto and the fact that you can get some of the top rookie / prospects for a decent price.

so are you saying the autos that are selling for like under $15 right now of players that should be getting more will in fact be selling for higher in a few months once the fire sales have cooled?.....will that create more of a demand because there wont be as many listed on the market?

Pretty much. Especially players like Nick Castellanos who I have been buying for $11-$14

speaking of a glut, there are only something like 400 total combined Puig Inception autos and 56 of them are active on ebay right now.

People are trying to recoup and prices are low compared to 2 months from now IMO.
