Default Warning --- Dishonest Ebayer

coinpalace

Won a card from me and gave positive feedback.

He did not contact me, he just disputed with ebay saying surface scratches.

I didn't see any, but that is beside the point. He never once emailed me that there was a problem with the card.

It sounds very shady to me.

Most young collectors want to buy pristine cards, but are unwilling to buy graded due to the new fad in the hobby of grading and flipping.

He actually did send me this message right before, but he escalated without contacting me:

I'm sorry that I had to put in a claim with PayPal. I had no choice because you do not accept returns. The card surface has scratches on it. I think it was just an over site by you. But they are still there. I hope to do more Business with you in the future. Have a great 4th. Thank You,

So don't contact the seller, just try to get the card for free? Like I'm not going to block him now? I'm confused.

I'm not sure how you word your auctions, but I always just put the generic "near mint or better" on mine. Sorry I don't have time to pull out my microscope to check the cards for you...

Thanks for the info.

Here's the thing. If he had emailed me first, this would not have been a discussion. Pain in the rear buyers are the norm. But don't leave me positive feedback and then go right to paypal a few days later and demand a refund.

I can't wait to see the flaw in this card...

Different buyer, but I sold a Harper Ref /500 and got a message that they would like to return because of some surface scratches, so I immediately told them to mail it back and once I get it I'll send refund.

Well, the card gets here today and I looked at for 5 minutes and didn't see a single scratch. I looked at it again an hour later and still couldn't see a scratch. So I messaged the buyer asking if they could tell me where the scratches are before I re-list it. Haven't heard a word.

Buyers nowadays just come up with any excuse now if they don't like what they paid.

Buyers would be hard pressed to find any raw chrome cards w/o any surface scratching. Its not worth the headache of selling anything raw anymore.

Okay, the card arrived back today. I give kudos to the buyer for not intentionally damaging it to make his case, but I can find nothing wrong with it.

I took it out of the sleeve and put it under a light. Even if there is some extremely light scuffing, I couldn't see it.

Maybe he sent it out overnight PSA and it didn't grade high enough?

Anyway, I would urge everyone to block him. For the life of me, there is no scuffing on this card.

Like the guy I bought BW packs off he received them back Saturday so I messaged him today to let him know I would appreciate him issuing the refund in a timely manner and if I had to wait longer then the expected date or had to escalate the case I would leave appropriate FB...well he escalated it idk what he expects he already got his product back why not issue me my refund...

Because he is butt hurt. He probably spent the money already, and is just looking to string you along. People take this too personally, and cannot act like grown ups.
