It is not THAT obvious; a possibility, for sure, but nothing obvious

Well all signs point to that as the most reasonable explanation

So the Pele card has "missing text" on the back. Has got to be part of the code in some fashion...

Yes.

And I'm going to guess there will be a few more blank back cards as well.

Also, take a look at the various subsets this year.

"Across the Ages, " the cipher mini's, etc.

I don't get it. What do the subsets have to do with the code?
The names of the sets?

The across the ages set looks especially interesting.

If only someone was selling a 49 card lot with no duplicates...

Possibly. If you look up a the hint card a few post above, you'll see that "Collin" has been thrown back in time. And we've got to get him back. So that's hint 1.

As the previous years, it's now trying to make sense of the differences.

I've already gotten blasters, will get probably a few more - that's all I need to get started, in addition to looking up the cards online. Wish the codemaster would start dropping the clues now.

That's why I agree that the Pele Auto card is intentionally modeled after the 2006 cards. This "going back in time" theme,

Yup. And other people working on this probably has figured that portion out already.

However, again like with the previous years, I'm not holding my breath as they have changed it up and those blank backs could be irrelevant. We'll need just a few more clues, or at least I will, before moving forward.

I think a search tonight on Ebay will yield a lot more information and by this weekend, this will be in full swing, regardless of the codemaster's clues.

By the way, I took note of the year that Collin was thrown back into. Interesting nevertheless.

Just totally random thought here.

But so far we're seeing the "throwback" auto (Pele). Obviously some sort of "back in time" theme here.

One thing that caught my attention was the line about "tearing a hole though the fabric of time". To me that says the relic cards (fabric) may have something to do with it?

I dont do the Ginter codes, too much for me to handle. These days I have the attention span of a gnat, so there's no chance of me even attempting to figure this out.

Just wanted to throw my idea in the ring & see if it helps at all.

Might want to keep a look out for any relics with a rip or tear maybe?

You know, I like that thought. It could have to do with the relics. I broke 2 blasters and pulled one relic, but didn't look at it - I'll do that when I get home.

It's fun looking and considering all the possibilities.

maybe "tearing a hole" is = "ripping a pack"

if there is a card of someone who was born in 1887, it could be quite important....

Don't think he has a card, but Shoeless Joe was born in 1887...

And Doc Holliday was killed in 1887... Doc Halladay?

Is there an official Ginter Code thread this year, or is this thread going to be where it all goes down?
