Default Cole Vs Darvish tonight

has been one of the best pitching duels all season. Both pitchers were mowing them down one right after the other. Darvish is now out of the game.

Darvish got hurt. Once again, Rangers pitchers are going to cost them a game. Man, this team is falling fast. They should've gotten some pitching at the deadline. Guy on one of the local sports talk shows was right. He said Rangers staff was average at best and it wouldn't last the rest of the way. I thought he was wrong at the time, but not so much now. They just can't seem to get anyone out.

Add to that the fact the A's are doing what they're doing. I mean, dang, there's not a single noteworthy name on this team (except maybe Cespedes, who's hitting right at .200 for the season) and they're still finding ways to win.

Ding dong, the witch is dead. 82 wins in the book and the streak is over!

Next up - the playoffs.

Let's Go Bucs.

Kind of hard for pitching to lose the game when the offense doesn't score. Offense is in a big slump and not hitting well with RISP. But I agree the pitching has been lagging lately mainly Garza and Holland. Frustrating to see the team going through this again.

very promising to see Cole have a dominant start tonight, just when the Pirates needed it most. Still a bit worried about the offense, but Darvish was great also. Hope to take at least one of the next two then 7 of 8 from the Cubs and Padres
