Do you think any of these guys like Clint Frazier realize how many thousands of dollars worth of cards they just created?

Doesn't Byron Buxton collect? I'm sure he takes a peak at what his cards sell for every now and then haha.

So it's confirmed then that Clint Frazier will be in 2013 Draft?! So with the blue wave cards, how do they determine which boxes get the bonus blue wave packs? Is it like 2 in every 12 box hobby case or what??

I've often wondered the opposite. When you're a scrub like Brad Ziegler, and you collect, when a company asks you to sign cards do you know that your auto is a terrible hit? He must know that anytime someone pulls his auto they're pissed that they just hit one of the worst autos in the set.

Now Leaf does this. I thought Leaf would be good to have around due to the lack of competition in this industry but they find a way to piss me off every year.

The auto's still nice but I go to the PGAA game because I want an early auto, not one that is shortened already.

Haha I've never thought about that, has to be pretty demoralizing.

Was perusing through some Twitter handles, and found another one. Trevor Williams (Marlins, 2nd round).

Wish he'd taken the pic after he'd signed it.

Beckett News » Minnesota prospect Byron Buxton collects baseball cards, just not his own

About midway through the article:

Quote:
The Baxley, Ga., native was an Atlanta Braves fan growing up. He collected baseball cards, meticulously sorting them by team and storing them in boxes.

“I like to be coordinated,” Buxton told Beckett Media. “I put them in their special cases.”

Buxton’s cards are popular with collectors. His 2013 Bowman base autographs generally sell for about $100 online. His 2013 Bowman Superfractor Autograph sold for $7,999 on eBay recently. He already has 330 cards in the Beckett database between Topps, Panini America and Leaf products.

He’s one of the best players in the minors, which collectors have recognized. Buxton is hitting .333 between single-A and high-A with 35 stolen bases, nine home runs, 11 triple and 17 doubles. He’s gotten early comparisons to Mike Trout and Bryce Harper as people look at youngsters who can make immediate impacts when they hit the Majors.

Even after all that, Buxton still likes to do the small things that let you know he’s only 19 years old.

He still collects cards. However, Buxton doesn’t give too many details on his collection. He’s a very casual collector and picks up a pack or two when something catches his eyes. He doesn’t collect specific players and doesn’t try to build sets. He simply enjoys opening a pack of cards and adding them to his team boxes.

Buxton isn’t collecting his own cards either – though he concedes he will probably get a copy of one of his Rookie Cards one day. No, his own cards are for others to enjoy. He doesn’t need a card to know what he looks like.

“I see myself every day,” Buxton said with a laugh.

Here is my wildly speculative post of the night, but I wonder if Aaron Judge's Twitter picture is from his BC auto? I can't imagine too many other pictures exist of him with the NYY uniform touched in.

Sweet, black refractor autos. I wonder if these means that they'll do away with the Bowman Black cards. I love the look of them, but boy do the edges and corners get mangled.

Sucks about Frazier but that happens to all players eventually. Few keep it consistent like Torii Hunter.

Who is cocky already? You can't possibly be talking about Jackson or Aiken. You must be talking about Touki.

JohnAndrew I think you might be right. Almost 100% he's in draft after I read a twitter convo he had. Not sure that's the exact image on the card but most likely.

Here's the convo:

Draft 2 Dynasty ‏@Draft2Dynasty 22h
@TheJudge44 always good to hear. know if you have any baseball cards coming out this off season?

@Draft2Dynasty yea, I signed a lot so there should be many out this off season!

This is the product I chose to purchase for my first ever case, pre-ordered it two weeks ago. If Bryant is confirmed that would be huge. I am getting really excited. I can't wait to see the rest of the checklist fill out.
