I'm very happy with the inclusion of Bryant in this product. Hope is that the majority of the 2013 1st and 2nd round picks are included.

Bryant is huge!!!

Now how about these guys:
Stewart
Ball
Meadows

OK to save Appel and Gray for '14

Throw in some birdos:
Marco Gonzalez
Rob Kaminsky

Some fan favorites:
Rowdy Tellez?
Sean Manea

I'm just throwing out some names but this looks like it could be very very good.

11 for a rainbow now. Yikes.

I don't really consider the plates part of the rainbow, I think the 4 plates belong together as a set.

I see Topps decided to break with tradition and include the #2 pick as an auto in Draft. Everyone assumed his first auto would be in '14 Bowman.

While this will make the latter take somewhat of a hit, being with the Cubs' system will soften the blow.

This also makes me wonder - if they have no problem making Chrome prospect autos for Bryant in two products, will they do the same for Appel?

i may be wrong but i highly doubt he'll now be in 2014 with another prospect card. this is what happens when you pump out sell sheets 8 months prior to release. this is something they need to clarify now...

Lets see: For a top flight pick,

Base 2,000 X $100 = $200,000
Ref 500 X $150 = $75,000
Blue 150 X $250 = $37,500
Gold 50 X $500 = $25,000
Black 35 X $700 = $24,500
Orange 25 X $900 = $22,500
Purple 10 X $1200 = $12,000
Red 5 X $1800 = $9,000
Plates 4 X $600 = $2,400
Super 1 X $6,000 = $6,000

TOTAL $413,900 - $41,390 for eBay = $372,510!!

Or about 1/10th of Clint Frazier's $3,500,000 bonus.

I can't imagine his base being near $100, probably closer towards where Correa leveled off at around $60 each... Bryant on the other hand certainly may be up there. Should be interesting to see if they save any big names for the end or just try to create a ton of hype weeks before

can't wait to see how overproduced this product is. I fear we're in a death spiral of pre-order --> overproduction lately.

Orders are more than likely already in. If it is going to be overproduced, the decision was made a couple months ago during the ordering window.

That was before group breaks really kicked it into supersonic gear.

Unfortunately, yea, that's a big issue. Group breaking is the new go to excuse for why everything is being over produced. If that keeps building, it may soon drive most casual breakers out. That would suck, but I don't want to be opening product that is almost a guarantee loss, even on release.

production has increased which would compensate that. doesnt mean draft is going in a "death spiral". bowman draft has an excellent track record, its the only product topps doesnt seem to screw up. i'm in...

that's exactly the point though.

Also, I'm saying across a lot of the products, not BDPP specifically. Just look at 2013 Bowman and 2013 Finest for example. Or the 57 autos in BC.

Not meaning to derail this thread since it is the auto thread, so I'll leave it at that for now.

sure, increase in demand = increase in product. doesnt mean overproduction.

bowman draft is always the safest play out there. bowman chrome TANKS every single year & for good reason. straight bowman, specifically jumbo is usually a safe bet as well when you get in early. they certainly cranked the presses in 2013 yet its still hundreds above solicitation levels...

Weak, time to cancel that pre-order I just made. Why make a card if your not going to use it.

Bryant will, however, be a Bowman Black Auto in Draft.

Would love to know why the card is in '13 Bowman format.

And don't worry guys, you'll be able to get that test proof unsigned super auto in 2016 when TNT or Shelbyville cuts up some more uncut sheets.
