Default Matt Wisler? Any good? Anyone heard of him?

Bought a blaster of Bowman Chrome today from Walmart and pulled a non-auto Red Refractor #'d 5/5 of him. Card #BCP149

Great pull! He has a pretty nice following, but doesn't sell extremely high.

Red are the toughest in blasters......superfractors are hobby only. The odds are 1 in 2888 packs, or something close to that.

I love that three people answered me

Back to the OP. Awesome pull, especially since it's from a blaster

I have the red auto of him on eBay. People offered me between 75-350. Usually around 300 for the auto version so go from there based on value

He was dominant towards the end of this season. Lots of potential. Very nice pull.

He's a good one. Isn't as hyped as others despite putting up great numbers.

Great fantasy prospect...I picked him up for my dynasty league in September.

Doesn't get a lot of publicity since he's in the Padres system, but was great in AA at the age of 20 and pitched very well in the AA playoffs.

Expect to see him in a Padres uniform by next September, and in the rotation in 2015.

^ ^ ^ Padres have some figuring out to do.

They currently have the following young pitchers after Cashner/Kennedy/Ross next season:

Casey Kelly
Joe Wieland
Cory Luebke
Robbie Erlin
Burch Smith
Eric Stults

Not to mention fellow AA pitchers such as Sampson, Andriese, and Roach

I do have high hope for Wisler, as he is only 20, but I don't expect the Padres to necessarily get him to the majors any time soon. They also have good 19/20 year olds in Joe Ross, Max Fried, Walker Weickel, and Zach Eflin.

Wisler probably opened the most eyes this past season, and the Padres have really high hopes for him next season. My guess is they'll probably try to get 150-180 total innings out of him in 2014 and give him a chance to make the rotation in 2015 once the pitching cluster**** is figured out in SD
