I agree with you about the auto being off the sticker or in the case of a cut auto, off the designated space. This info was in one of the beckett articles not too long ago. As I recall you would get less than a perfect grade if there was a crease also across the sig. I don't remember which issue it was though. That auto looks as lousy as all the others you got a 10 on...doesn't make sense.
I also would be careful bidding on graded cards by beckett with folks you don't know. A few young adult kids come to a show I do and get cards from some of the high end dealers who sell at shows and online. They have an in with some of the people at beckett so I hear that beckett will give those cards a higher grade than they normally would receive. Have to love it. Sorry about your grade on the auto. |

reasons for 9 auto grades-
auto's 'off center' (think USA/02 UD PP autos) and/or 'cut off' auto's faded auto's smudged 'surface funk' on sticker (think 04 ee and sp prospects) auto's 'incomplete' compared to other versions graded by bgs auto looks like the pen was 'lifted up' @ some point

I was thinking of "auto's 'incomplete' compared to other versions graded by bgs" but what Bill5 is saying makes sense too. I mean, whatever it is, you know it's something petty because it is still a 9.
