Default Hunter Dozier Gold BC Auto Pickup: Good Deal?

I just picked up a Dozier gold chrome auto for $120, do you think I got a good deal and made a smart investment?

Just thought I'd share with the board, any input is welcomed.

Thanks,

Tyler

Two sold for 90, one sold for 126. It all depends on how you think he'll do this year.

2nd best SS in KC and 3rd best "Hunter" from draft!

Jk, all really comes down to how you view him as doing next year, boom or bust purchase.

I wasn't happy when the Royals drafted him, but he actually has a really solid bat. He should be able to move up the ranks quick, and push for a spot in KC. Also a big fan of Mondesi like matvoo.

Eh, his ceiling is a David Freese type, so I don't think that's a very good investment as a Royals fan. He'd have to be a perennial all star for you to be able to flip that for more than what you paid, but maybe you could around the time of his debut. Prospecting is a terrible investment in general though, so as long as you enjoy and appreciate the card then you win.

My thoughts with it, is given his age if he does well this coming season he may be on the fast track for the majors and be a relatively quick flip. Plus I'm not sure about how much longer they're going to let Moustakas run the show at Third.

Thanks for the responses guys, appreciate the insight and different perspectives.

I think if you believe in someone's abilities, then every investment is good, unless you overpay by a mile.
