Default 2014 Bowman: 10 Jumbo Cases or 16 Hobby Cases????

What would you do? I'm going to bust about $10k in cases. I could go with 10 or 11 Jumbo cases, 16 Hobby Cases, or a combination of the two. Tell me what you think and please don't say buy singles. I am going to take my bonus this year and bust cases again.

If I had that kind of coin, I'd prob go heavy on hobby and mix it up with jumbo. Just me though...

I'd probably split. It seems to change each year or even each product within a year in terms of which of hobby or jumbo end up being the better break. 13 Draft hobby yielded significantly more non-auto color. With jumbo, you paid more, got less color, got the same amount of base chrome, albeit with more autographs, though not always better than refractors

Combo. I personally liked my results out of hobby rather than jumbo.

Half and half, if you love the hobby more than the jumbo after a few boxes you could always sell the unopened jumbo boxes and buy more hobby and vice versa.

You will have fun, but this stuff is going to kill people value wise. Go for the jumbo or your fingers will go numb before you get 1/3 of the way through hobby. Good luck!

More color non-autos from my experience. I did well last year on jumbo alone and have 10 cases of jumbo this year.

One question before you buy: Do you want more autos for the amount of money you are spending? If so go Jumbo. If you want more non auto color and stuff like Under Armour autographs, wave packs etc. go with hobby.

Don't always buy into the more non auto color routine. My last 5 case 2013 Bowman Hobby group break yielded just as much non auto color as jumbos would have produced.

If it were me. I'd go all jumbo.

i pulled a purple refractor Kevin Ziomek auto out of 2013 Bowman Draft jumbo. i always thought the jumbos had more bang for the buck, and I've had some big pulls out of them.

I appreciate all of the ideas guys. I did 9 Jumbos at release last year and that was a ton of fun. The jumbos seem to be great to break at release and then I can always get hobby cases later because they don't sell out near as fast. I am still undecided but leaning towards primarily jumbo cases and maybe adding a couple of hobby cases just to mix it up a little. I may go with 8 Jumbos and 4 hobby cases. That would be a pretty fun break I think.

I'm with the half and half group. You will get a fair amount of autos with a fair amount of non-auto color.

Good stuff

It is alot of money to spend but I work 100+ hours a week and barely spend any money all year. My bonus is my "reward" money if you will and busting cases is enjoyable to me so that is where my bonus is going. I still haven't got it yet though so I am not exactly sure of the budget.

For me it would depend on price you get them at. I think any more than 950 or that neighborhood on Jumbo then split them up 60/40 or so because you can probably get 700 or under on the hobby with your quantity. If you get a good deal on Jumbo do mostly that.
