Default BGS: Is all their customer service in India?

Every time I call there I get a horrible connection and every operator has a very thick accent.

Just tell them you request to speak to an English as a First language person. Most places will transfer you.

Beckett is owned by an Indian media company...so yes, almost everything is in India.

The above is incorrect.

Obviously they still maintain the offices in Dallas, but all decision making, etc. has to go through India.

Wow... Are PSA/DNA and SGC based (or I guess I should say owned) in America?

Yes.

Collectors Universe (PSA's parent) is publicly traded on the NASDAQ and based in sunny southern CA while SGC is based in Chris Christie's New Jersey.

Thats strange that I have never talked to anyone other than what sounded like your typical "Texan" accent. I wonder if it is because I live in Oklahoma and it is so close to their offices in Dallas?

They are not owned by an Indian company. They are owned by a man in Durham, NC and have an IT department in India. Their general customer service people are in the Phillipines but they have customer service people in Dallas too. They have no customer service people in India.

I stand corrected.

When WJCIII speaks of the ways of Beckett...he speaks the truth.

Heh, it's pretty neat that both of you can be half right.

Beckett Media LLC (Website HERE) is a subsidy of a larger private company called Eli Global LLC. Eli Global LLC is a wordwide company, with Headquarters in Durham NC (win for WJCIII) and main operations in New Delhi India (win for Discostu). However, I would argue that this company is more Indian than anything else, considering the President of Beckett Media lives in New Delhi and named is Sandeep Dua (LinkedIn profile HERE) and the VP of operations is Nick Singh.

James Beckett founded the company in '84, sold it to Apprise Media in 2005, who then sold it to Eli Global in 2010. So in terms of customer service, you can land in India, or the US.

For clarity...I was incorrect, as Beckett is not owned by an Indian company.

...and I'd go to WJCIII for Beckett info over Wikipedia.

I guess it helps having worked there for 7 years, lol! Either way it's unfortunate that any of the operations have moved outside of the US. Obviously I'm not a big fan since I'm not there anymore. I miss the people I worked with but that's about it.
