There are some good names on the checklist...Chipper Jones, Frank Thomas, Bo Jackson, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Ernie Banks, Michael Wacha and Don Mattingly are all names I'd really like to pull but I bet like in past years a couple of those big names will be super short printed (most likely Mays and Aaron).

However, without at least one or two of the following: Maddux, Trout, Koufax, Harper, Cabrera, Ripken, N. Ryan, Bogaerts or Griffey I find the Real One checklist to be relatively weak. I know some of those names have dual and triple autographs but I'm just speaking of the Real One checklist.

There are some pretty sweet dual and triple autographs in this product, all of which will be redemption cards.
The Real one checklist traditionally includes only active players and players who were in the respective Topps set on which Heritage is based (1965 in this case).

However, it doesn't this year, unless Don Mattingly, Frank Tomas, Bo Jackson and Chipper Jones were in 1965 Topps.

Are we sure that the Frank Thomas is the guy who played in the 90's or the guy who played in the 60's?

I think the real one list is weak, but the higher end stuff is absolutely amazing. If you hit something rare, it will be super nice. I will put the higher end patch/autographs hits in heritage up against any 100 dollar/pack product any day.

Other than Mattingly (he's an active manager), fair point. I have no idea why Bo, Chipper, and the Big Hurt are in there (or Sabes). Then again with their new numbering system this year, Topps has decided to piss all over tradition anyway.

Could be the older Frank. Also I agree, great value. Also, Heritage autos are always on card.

I highly doubt it is that Frank Thomas.

Because it would make more sense to include the HOF bound Frank Thomas. They should have also included Maddux.

I would be willing to bet $10 paypal it's the older Frank Thomas

I totally support your idea. I'm always going to support any opportunity to get another HOFer auto. But it makes more sense to include the Frank who actually played in 1965. Besides, the HOF Frank probably has 1,000 different autos out there while the All-Star Frank likely has less than 25.

Kaline is in every product. I meant weird random guys that would never have autos in anything else. They don't have a ton of value after awhile, but I love adding them to my collection.

Got a case coming. Hoping that the Chromes fall more than 1 per box this year and that they are sequentially, not skipped, numbered.

What's really annoying is that even though they must know by now (since packout has already begun), Topps makes no effort to indicate which autographs are redemptions.

Also really annoying that you have tons of current stars in the double/triple autographs who do not have single autographs (Longoria, Posey, Harper, Bruce, Machado, Darvish, Freeman, Bumgarner).

yeah it does seem odd that topps didn't put some of those guys into the base blue auto set. Could this be the year where topps goes off the deep end and puts sticker autographs into packs?

The older Frank Thomas has been in a ton of topps products over the years, why not one more?

Kevin

He was in 2011 Heritage, but has only 23 certified autos overall (18 with Topps but in just 3 different sets).

I wish they would skip Stanton in a few products. Could use a little recharging of the piggy bank.

It's definitely the older Frank Thomas. On the checklist next to his name it says Philadelphia A's.
