Default Elite Extra Question

I love this product. I have pulled some great cards out of my last two boxes. I got a 1/1 Steve Spurrier in my last box, and previously got a gold auto of Phillipe Aumont #/5. I am wondering if I should sell the Aumont. I think I can sell the Spurrier at any time and get about the same amount of money, unless he wins something like the SEC championship, but the Aumont I just dont know. I know he is a highly regarded prospect, but he is a pitcher. Can anyone with a better idea about prospects give me a clue?

I saw a Devin Morresco sell for 335, does anyone think I might be able to get that, and if I do, is it worth selling now or wait until he gets called up? Is this a 500 plus card if he is a decent pitcher?

I'd sell. As is my contention with all pre-rookies.

So you think when he has a Bowman Chrome it will be worth more than the Elite card released a year before?

there's no question that his Chrome card (if it's an auto) will be worth much more.

Now I understand why most of you think that it is a pre-rookie, but why does the elite autos sell almost, not quite, but almost, as well as Bowman Sterling autos. I am seeing LaPorta Sterling autos for 40 and the Elite autos for 35. Also, Elite's prices are continuing to rise, while the rest are not. Correct me if I am totally wrong on this, but it is what I am seeing. Right now it looks as if Elite is being regarded as just as much of a rookie card as the Bowman's.

Sorry, by pre-rookie I meant any player that hasn't played a full season in the bigs yet.

I think most (all) rookies are overhyped and nowhere near enough of them live up to their hype. But, that's actually a whole other discussion...

Sorry I misunderstood you. I kinda agree with that. Now one has surfaced. Some guy is selling for 450 with BIN/BO for 450, but it has a flaw. Mine does not. Does that mean I should look for over 500?

I guess I am just confused about what to do.

You could wait to see what he gets and ask for +25% if his has a flaw and yours doesn't.

Sell, sell, sell the Aumont. Here is my theory on pitchers, they break down fast. Sell it now while Beckett is hyping him up, it is likely at it's highest value. Keep in mind he won't be pitching in the majors for another 2-4 years, and along that way he could blow out his shoulder or elbow. Pitchers are risky investments.

I'd be inclined to hold on to the Spurrier until some big happens with him (i.e. SEC championship, new coaching gig, retires)

Will- Where are you in KS?

Any idea of what a good BIN/BO price might be???? Might run one quick and see what happens, and then if no one bites might go the starting out at .99 and go from there.

Thanks for any ideas.

Well it is posted. I might scare some off with my BIN, but who knows. Try at least.
