Default Topps Redemption Postage Due Question

Not sure if there is a better place for this. I received a redemption from Topps awhile back and I had moved, so the package was forwarded once.

Why is that I was charged $8.55 postage due for the package?

Because Topps shipped it Parcel Select which has no free forwarding. Consider it 4th class (old classification). Cheap to mail, but no free forwarding. 1st class, Priority etc. all have the forwarding postage built into it. Parcel Select does not.

So when forwarded, the Post Office charges the item at 1st class rate. If over 13 ounces, they charge at Priority rate.

Only 2 options. Either return to Topps for postage or forward to recipient for postage. Post Office chose to forward to you which is what they do in most cases.
