Talking Mickey Mantle Dual Memorabilia /10 Target Heritage Break

Went to Target last night and they were putting out three fresh retail boxes of Topps Heritage. The stocker had just popped the tops of the boxes and then left the sports card area, so I went over to check them out. I proceeded to pull all the packs out of the boxes and I searched them carefully for the ones that were a bit thicker and contained memorabilia cards, and I also felt for the chrome parallels.

I ended up taking seven of the packs out of the three boxes, paid for them and went outside. The first few packs were chromes and a chrome refractor of Joba Chamberlain, and then in the fourth pack this beauty!!!

I couldn't believe it. When I got home I found out the last one of these to sell went for $400+. Not a bad night at Target. I can't wait until they put out some more retail boxes so I can dig through them and get some more memorabilia. When I bought one of the guides on ebay on how to search packs I didn't think it would ever work, but man was I wrong. This is a great way to pad your collection, I know I'll be going up there every Wednesday from now on so I can get first dibs on what they're stocking. NICE

Well I was going to congratulate you on the great pull, but seeing how you got it kinda makes me sick to my stomach. I can see this thread going over like a fart in church. Everyone have fun with this one.

What do you mean how I got it? I bought packs and pulled it?? Doesn't seem to be anything wrong with that.

Snooze you lose, I don't always get stuff in retail, but I'm at about 90%, not bad. Good bang for your buck.

And thanks Jeb, I thought it was MOJO myself.

Such a shame that such a beautiful card was pulled that way.

Absolutely despicable.

It was pulled the same way any card is pulled, I opened the pack, and out came that card. Don't know what's so "despicable" about it, I paid my hard earned money for the pack and got a nice card. Am I mistaken, or is this still America where I'm free to purchase what I like??

Yes it is a free country and yes it is your money, but do you really think its fair to intentionally search for the packs that you know have the hits in them? Think of the people that usually buy retail, little kids. They would love pulling something like that, granted they probably wouldn't see the value of it, but your pretty much ruining the whole box for them. Why do you think hobby owners generally don't let customers touch the packs, because they want it to be fair for everyone.
