Here are my newest pickups over the last few days.

My favorite is the Johnny Damon #3/3. I had such a fun time trying to win one without "supercollector" getting in the way.

2008 Tristar Projections Daniel Worth
2002 Bowman's Best Juan M. Gonzalez
2007 Upper Deck Star Signings Nelson Cruz

2008 Tristar Signa Cuts Ned Garver #13/24

Yeah, I was really happy to get it. That guy is still bidding on them around $30 for the ones #/18. I bid on one yesterday for $30 and he outbid me. Just crazy. I saw the ones you added to your collection and I don't have a Lucas French auto, so I am getting that one coming soon.

I saw that you bid on one the other day. I've been bidding on a bunch, and keeping track of all of the sales. He is bidding on the Triple auto Redemptions again too. I ended up getting a Sepia, and got outbid last second on an Emerald. I wish I could go back further and follow all of them too.

You'll have to send me the updated version once you have it ready. I was keeping track, but have been pretty busy lately. I guess I could just go through the completed listings...

Here are my newest pickups for my collection. I have my very first 1/1, which is really cool. I know some people don't like the look of the Historic autograph cards, but they are nice in person. I also didn't know they were so large until I got the first one in the mail. You can see the difference in size in the scan. I actually have a few more of those coming, plus some others this week.

It's actually pretty interesting looking up information on these players, since I haven't heard of them. Rick Ferrell is mainly known as a Boston player, but later was the GM of the Tigers. He died in Bloomfield Hills, MI in 1995. I also love the inscription on the Bernie Boland card since it tells exactly when he played for Detroit.

Anyway, here they are. Thanks for looking!

2010 Historic Autographs "In Memory of" Edition Bernie Boland #1/1
2010 Historic Autographs "In Memory of" Edition Vic Sorrell #9/26
2010 Razor Sports Icons Rick Ferrell #1/10

Here are the latest pickups to my collection. I really love the Vic Wertz cut because it is so hard to find and even though the Dmitri Young card is a pretty cheap auto, it is the first I have seen with him in a Detroit uniform.

2006 UD Auto-Facts Signatures Dmitri Young #047/300

2010 Historic "Hall of Fame & All-Star" Don Mossi #27/31
2010 Historic "Hall of Fame & All-Star" Eddie Yost #9/71

Here are this weeks additions to the collection. I received 2 very nice 1/1 cuts from Topps Sterling. The Marv Owen I got for only $13.00 by using my ebay bucks this week. I am very happy with the pickups.

A little history:

Charlie Maxwell played 8 seasons in left field with Detroit from 1955-1962. He was also a 2-time All-Star for Detroit in 1956 and 1957. Marv Owen played 6 season for Detroit from 1931-1936. He was the 3rd baseman for the 1935 World Champion Detroit Tigers. Frank "Stubby" Overmire pitched 7 seasons with Detroit from 1943-1949 and also won one World Series with Detroit in 1945. He was only 5'7" and due to that fact earned the nickname "Stubby".

Thanks for looking!

2010 Bowman Chrome Chance Ruffin
2001 Donruss Rookies Kris Keller #0047/1875

2010 Historic "Hall of Fame & All-Star" Charlie Maxwell #2/10

2010 Topps Sterling Cut Signature Marv Owen #1/1
2010 Topps Sterling Cut Signature Stubby Overmire #1/1

Well, new Tigers autographs are few and far between right now, but I have picked a few more for the collection.

Some history on the players:

Frank Bolling played for Detroit from 1954-1960 as a 2nd baseman. He was a 2-time All-Star. Chester "Chet" Morgan played 2 seasons with Detroit in 1935 and 1938 as an outfielder. Pete Fox played with Detroit from 1933-1940 as an outfielder. He was a 1-time All-Star and played in 3 World Series with Detroit, winning one in 1935.

Thanks for looking!

2010 Historic "Hall of Fame & All-Star" Frank Bolling #14/42
2010 Historic "In Memory of" Chet Morgan #5/5

2010 SP Mystery Cuts Pete Fox #1/1

I had a couple of pickup's this week and I have a few more coming, so I will update again soon. The first is an upgrade to my PC. I originally had a Virgil Trucks auto from Diamond Signatures, but I like this one much better:

2011 Topps Virgil Trucks #38/60 on card

This second auto has a little story behind it. When I was a kid, my dad introduced me to collecting cards. He only had a limited amount left after my grandma threw most of his cards away. The majority of his cards were 1962 Topps and his favorite was the Al Kaline. I cherished that card and he told me to keep it in my collection. With the new Topps Heritage this year commemorating the 1962 Topps set, I had to get this autograph:

2011 Topps Heritage Real Ones Al Kaline on card
and
1962 Topps Al Kaline

Thanks for the comment. This has been a lot of fun to put together. I will keep adding to it whenever I see a player I don't have yet and some day I will get that Ty Cobb auto!

Here are my newest pickups for the collection. All of these cards come from 2011 SP Legendary Cuts and I was lucky enough to find some pretty nice cuts (I have seen some horrible ones).

Here is some info on the players as well:

Barney McCosky played for Detroit from 1939-1942 and also in 1946 as a center fielder. He was a career .312 hitter and helped Detroit make it to the 1940 World Series against the Cinncinati Reds.

Billy Hoeft played with the Tigers from 1952-1959 as a pitcher. He was an all-star for Detroit in 1955 when he went 16-7 with a 2.99 ERA.

Mike "Pinky" Higgins played for Detroit from 1939-1946 as a third baseman. He was a 3-time all-star and played in 3 World Series (1 with Detroit in 1940 and 2 with Boston).

Elden Auker played for the Tigers from 1933-1938 as a pitcher. He helped Detroit to 2 World Series appearances in 1934 and 1935. Detroit won the World Series in 1935.

Roger "Doc" Cramer player for the Tigers from 1942-1948 as a center fielder. He was a career .296 hitter and a 5-time all-star. He also played in 2 World Series (1 with the Philadelphia Athletics in 1931 and 1 with Detroit in 1945). Detroit won the World Series in 1945 with the help of Cramer's .379 series average.

2011 SP Legendary Cuts "Black Cut Signatures" Barney McCosky #03/25
2011 SP Legendary Cuts "Black Cut Signatures" Billy Hoeft #01/15
2011 SP Legendary Cuts "Black Cut Signatures" Mike "Pinky" Higgins #2/6
2011 SP Legendary Cuts "Black Cut Signatures" Elden Auker #05/14
2011 SP Legendary Cuts "Cut Signatures" Roger "Doc" Cramer #01/13

Thanks guys! I wish the cards had pictures of the players like the old SP Legendary Cuts, but that's just how it is. I have a few more coming in the next few days, so I will be sure to post those when they come in.
