Default Best bat to buy?

I'm looking to purchase a bat to use for my first year back into baseball. I'm playing for my highschool team (looking only for aluminum) and BBCOR are the only bats allowed. I use a 33 inch bat. If this is in the wrong section my bad mods please move if it is. I'm just looking for some opinions.

33/30 Easton MAKO. The 2013 model is relatively cheap on justbats.com

First talk to your coach and see if he has a nice one you can use. If not ask him what to get and see if he has a discount somewhere you can use. He should.

Legal de marinis are very popular. If you buy an expensive one use it sparingly in the cage and don't let others use it to avoid dings.

I can have wood, I'd just like a metal one.

I was considering the 2015 model but then I was curious as to how much better they actually get year to year and I got to thinking would I be better off just using an earlier model or something.

Thanks for the advise, I was thinking about not letting others use it too often in an attempt to keep it nice.

The 2015 Rawlings 5150, 2015 DeMarini CF7, DeMarini Voodoo Overlord, 2015 DeMarini Vexum, and any Mako (Except the Torq)

I really like the Easton S3...Not a very powerful bat, but feels really light (-3). I batted over .500 last year using it

The bat I'm currently using is this:

Easton XL2

Nothing special about it, but gets the job done

Hope this helps!

Thanks, I'll definitely look into some of those! I planned on avoiding the torq as well!

Yup, the Torq screws up your swing

I have never seen on in person but just imagining that thing turning in my hand didn't seem like something I wanted. Im all honesty, I'll probably end up going with the Mako.

Hm, I can't seem to find that one anywhere. Thank you for the help though! If I could get a link that'd be great!

My son is using the Louisville Slugger 515. He has the 2014 Mako and Velo and says the 515 has more pop.

I always liked the Demarini Voodoo. They are usually much cheaper than others, and just as good. I used them my last three years of high school ball and travel ball.

I'm still looking around a bit, I'm currently between the Mako and Voodoo but I wouldn't be surprised if I found another one and got neither of those.

In all honesty just use another one of your teammates, got me through high school and college ball. Teammates shouldn't have a problem sharing a bat, saves you a nice chunk of change as well

5150's are very solid bats, but yeah that Easton above is beyond light and can smack a few long ones. Gl finding one.

I could do this, but I would really just like a new one. I do have a bat but she is pretty beat up.

Also, I am looking for a new glove for the season, which I will break in fast with the hot glove treatment or steam it. Any suggestions on any good infield/outfield/pitching gloves? Need it to lastfor a long time. Thanks.

Wow, pretty cool you can customize the bats. I'd definitely do that if it wouldn't cost so much to buy from their site.
