Default At $244 a box Bowman Jumbo is now out of control

I understand the Bryant searches because of his markup right now on cards...but that is just ridiculous....I'm a huge believer in popping wax regardless of the risk and most often you come up short...significantly....

But this is just god dang ridiculous...

This has definitely become a phenomenon. Different from Trout because he was raking in the bigs as prices climbed up.

Gold Rush, baby.

Did this really need its own thread?! The thing that doesn't make sense about 2014 bowman though is that it's much easier to hit him in BC which are the more valuable autos too.

I think it's ridiculous considering his more valuable cards aren't in 2014 Bowman

Am I wrong for hoping something happens to just crash the Bryant market?

The ensuing chaos would be more entertaining than him hitting 50 HRs this year.

2014 bowman chrome is the one that has both in it I believe, 2014 bowman regular doesn't have the card?

Exactly. You can get both in 2014 BC (and color). I don't get it. One person jacked it up and everyone followed?

This has never made sense to me. They price wax boxes on the secondary market as if hitting the chase card is an even money proposition. We all know that isn't the case so why do people pay as if it is? I'll just never understand it.

As much as I like breaking wax, the more I abstain and watch the addicts lose their minds, the more my decision to go singles only seems like the best thing I've ever done. I have to imagine it is the kind of clarity that a recovered alcoholic has when looking at a room full of blitzed people. He still has the urge but I'm sure he can see how stupid, destructive and unbecoming the disease is.

Same reason ppl go for raffles and lotteries... same reason there was the Gold Rush, the rise of Vegas... good ol' human nature.

I like to think of it as exciting, even though I don't really participate. Only becomes a disease when it ruins lives, which any pursuit can if taken to extremes.

Bingo and what are the odds of hitting a Trout out of three boxes? If you miss, that is going to sting a bit.

You're trying to apply logic to those that have none.

I open a lot of wax but its all for fun. Never do I expect to profit from simply opening boxes of cards. To me its the same as going to the craps table. I will take my $200 and play for awhile. If I win some money then awesome. If I lose, well it was fun entertainment and I got to drink for free. But I do not go to the craps table expecting to profit.

So a Bowman Jumbo box for $175 is something I should go buy?
