A 13-page PDF that is primarily text-based shouldn't be over 10mb. This was a pain to open.

I had a case in my BO shopping cart yesterday, but (thankfully) didn't pop for it. In my opinion, this is better for those that rip multiple cases than folks like me who want just one. I only reviewed the baseball section (other sports may have more of an ROI), and it seems very likely that my $1,300 will net about $600-$700 worth of cards. There are a lot more <$100 cards than I was expecting.

If I'm not mistaken, I read Brian's quote that the product will bear out about 80% of the dealer price across the entire product (Brian, if you're reading this, please correct me if I'm wrong). Taking into account dealer markup and the sharp decline of the Strasburg super since Brian bought it, is it fair to assume that the average end purchaser should expect about 60% of their value back?

I can't wait to see the breaks, though... hope someone on here pulls one of the monsters

I'd love to pull the 1993 SP Jeter.

I won't buy any either, just like somebody with a big collection selling grab bag packs and making a lot of money on it

FYI! I just got confirmation that there is not necessarily 1 of each card of each grade.

For example, it lists

2009 Bowman Chrome Refractor Auto Carlos Santana BGS 9

There could be multiple BGS 9 Carlos Santana Refr Autos in the product.

Saw the same thing...

Does anyone have confirmation on the total number of cases produced? I'm guessing 300 or so, but that could be WAY off.

Nope ... not confirmed. I asked the same question!

My problem with this release is that BG said that he hand collated each case himself. I guess I am just not the trusting type, but I would feel much better buying this if it was packed out by some independent company. Too much room for potential shady activity.

Looks very solid to me, but comes off as a cheap way to make a lot of money on a "collection"

I find it funny people are complaining about Leaf/Razor making money off of this... that's capitalism for ya. UD and Topps are doing the same thing, and the return on their high-end is lower than here with a lower ceiling as well. No Strasburg super, Crosby the cup, LeBron Exquisite, Heyward super... numerous $10k cards in here. I for one am glad I have a chance at $20,000 for $225.

As for the checklist, it looks decent. A few stinkers but that's to be expected. I do like though that everything I pull here is going to be easily movable... it is all rookies of stars, HOF'ers, and the best prospects.

Yeah right this is crap. Most of it wont get close to your box price. Its a big risk to think the so called $20,000 and $10,000 cards will hold thier value. This product is gonna kick most people in the nuts. IMO

It's different than UD or Topps. It's just like somebody going to buy a bunch of cards and package into grab bags to make a profit. Except it's at a much higher level. They're using a budget of say $1 million. They go and buy a bunch of cards on ebay. They then repackage the cards into packs. They make $1.5 million on the sales of Razor Retro. (Not using real figures, just guesses ) To me it seems like using the popularity and company name to sell grab-bags of other companies' cards for a profit

Yes, but using cards Razor didn't make doesn't seem right.

Yes, Heyward and Strasburg and the new rookie supers will be volatile, but the Crosby and LBJ Exquisite graded rookies for example have held their value for 5+ years each- obviously we don't know how they will fare 20,30 years from now but there's not much risk in the market value of those cards.

Isnt it the same thing though when someone on youtube makes mystery packs or something like that just to a bigger scale, If brian gray can afford to make a jumbo series of mystery packs I have no problem with that

I asked Brian Gray yesterday for a production number, and he said cases WONT be numbered and numbers WILL NOT be released. Wasnt sure what to think then or now. Could be alot of this stuff made considering the lower grades and potential to be more than 1 of each card on the checklist. I also wish this had been packed out independently.

More and more now it's sounding like a complete train wreck of a product

Another train wreck by the king of train wrecks. You would be insane to open this stuff, they can literally just keep buying cards and boxing them out and you wouldnt know the difference since the slabs have zero connection to razor.

Enjoy the 700 David Wright psa 10's that sell for $35 for $225.

Since they arent releasing production numbers, I wish they wouldnt have released this checklist. Id rather be in the dark I think.

I really have no problem with this. I think it is a unique and interesting idea. In the end, over time, the secondary market will dictate/determine how good the breaks are. If the initial rush yields crap (say $100 on the $225 price) then the market/ebay will quickly adjust to that fact.

My one concern is that Razor can easily LOAD the first cases out the door to create BUZZ. Not unlike what Topps Million Card Giveaway can do with their program...

I'll wait to buy...but a few boxes (maybe even kept unopened) would be fun to have...I know I'll never own some of the high grade stuff on my own...so the small chance to have one of them is worth the gamble...

I'd rather take my chances with 3 packs of this versus one pack of Exquisite basketball or eight packs of anything Ultimate or 3 packs of Triple Threads.
