Default Iconic cards that are wortless.

What are some iconic cards that are for the most part "worthless"?

I'm trying to get some ideas to add to my collection.

Some I had in mind were the...

1990 Score #697 Bo Jackson
1991 UD #SP1 Michael Jordan

The Billy Ripken "F$*% Face" comes to mind and my personal favorite that I own and no one seems to ever talk about is the 1990 Hoops Sam Vincent. It's not really "iconic" but it is the only card and only time Michael Jordan wore the number 12 due to his jersey being stolen right before the game.

This is why I collect PSA 10's as part of my PC (Yes I know this is where the "Grading is stupud" people chime in)

It makes cards like Jim Thome 91 Bowman (as he is one of my favorite players) far from worthless. That's a $40 card in PSA 10 shape.

Same with some of the random Griffey, Chipper, Thomas, etc... rookies that aren't the premium brands. Something affordable, like a Griffey Jr TT PSA 10 (so like $25), are some of my favorites to stash away for my kids.

Most are still relatively inexpensive but it gives value to these "iconic" cards from some of our childhoods that probably are worthless for the most part if just sitting in a box.

Completely agree. I collect for the memories, and one of my favorite side collections is picking up cards that "used to be" expensive in Gem Mint slabs. The card value might not be there, but they are still good memories to me.

That Jordan card brings back some fond memories from my youth.I was a big Jordan fan back then, and I remember going to a flea market with family selling some of my cards so I could buy that Jordan from another dealer.I want to say that was a $15-$20 catd back then.

2006 Topps Alex Gordon
2004 Bowman AFLAC Justin Upton Autograph

I don't think either of these cards are absolutely worthless, though nowhere near their hobby peak.

The Lombardi Trophy Hologram sells pretty well, even more graded high, they typically are off center.
