Default Blind Lots, good or bad?

Was going thru the site and noticed the new idea of 12 box lots of assorted items, (all the same sport in each lot), was wondering if anyone is or has already purchased a lot. Seems like a good way to check out a bunch of different items, as long as there is a decent one or two thrown in. Actually, have a bit of spare cash and was thinking about one lot from each of the 4 sports but I gotta figure out how to not let the wife see them. She might get a bit suspicious when I lock myself in the bathroom with a knife, 2 garbage bags, toploaders and a large coffee.

Probably closeout stuff, but if you don't care what you get, you will get a great bargain. Certainly a lot better than the TriStar thing where you got different packs. Someone should buy one and say what they get.

I'll give it a shot but it is at the old site, as soon as you click on one of the four sports cases, first thing it says is try something new. (blowoutcardscaseprices.com)

Checked with Chris about these deals, sounded pretty good so bit the bullet and ordered a FB lot. Will be away when they arrive but according to him, everything is possible in these lots, particularly in the early going. Will post what I get when I return at the end of the week.

I also took a shot - got both baseball and football. We'll see what happens.

I just bought one lot from each of the 4 major sports. I didn't realize there was a post about it until just now, (after I already sent payment). I'll let you know what I get. I'm sure it will be good.

I just noticed these today. I really want to take a shot at the baseball lot but I'm not sure I can pull the trigger. The gambler in me wants to do it but the brain says no.

I did a football lot. Big boxes were 2007 and 2003 SP Authentic, 07 Donruss Threads, Contenders, Classics, Topps Premiere, all very good boxes. I opened all mine but you certainly get your value, + more, in the boxes. No great hits, mind you, but enough to keep me interested. You are not going to get that 1988 Donruss Baseball Rack Pack if that is your worry. Chris did good with this idea. If I had some extra bux I would consider multiples of each, for variety.

I'll probably break it all over the weekend. I'd try holding some of it, but temptation would get the best of me eventually :P I'll post if I hit anything big

I started with the oldest box (2002 SP Authentic FB) and did pretty well - pulled a LaDainian Tomlinson auto, a Chester Taylor RC auto and a redemption for a Michael Vick auto that expired 2 years ago, lol.

Anyone notice he does a 12 box racing lot for $360? Now, I don't do a bunch of racing stuff but for the price of one baseball I could just about get 3 racing and drown myself in foil wrappers for a day. I am REAL glad my wife is working when the UPS guy comes around.... Anyone know a good divorce lawyer?
