1 Box - 08/09 Topps Jumbo

I sold a ton of cards to my local shop owner. When it came time to pay me, he was short $70 in cash. Since there were no new football boxes left, I settled for one of these.(I did well with football this year) Below are the hits.

Gold #/2008: Vince Carter & Dirk Nowitzki

Platinum? #/51: Linas Kleiza

Notable Rookies: Derrick Rose x3, OJ Mayo x3, and Michael Beasley x2(1 Gold)

Jerseys: Ryan Gomes, Dwight Howard, and Magic Johnson 45/50 - MAGIC IS SOLD!

Rip Card: Michael Redd 5/10

I need good advice on the rip card. It doesnt look like they are selling for much. I am not a huge basketball fan and only took these for the sake of breaking a box. Should I just rip the thing? Are the autos? Numbered cards?

My friend just suggested since I was shorted an autograph in my box, perhaps the rip card has an auto. I love the logic but I doubt Topps was thinking that. Does Michael Redd sell well or should I rip it?

I wouldn't rip it if I were you. You pulled 1 if not 2 extra JSY cards (which if your wanting to flip/trade Magic let me know). Plus Topps collation has been very questionable over the past 2 years.

I thought the same thing as well. No auto just a low numbered 1/10 floor level Arenas rip card. Still just sitting here waiting for the rippa!

There is a Redd rip card #/10 on eBAY right now. I think I may wait to see what that goes for and make my choice then. I do like to gamble and have never hit a rip card before. I have yet to see an auto which does make me a bit nervous. I guess for now we wait, unless someone loves Redd and has to have this card.

If teh card has an auto, it will be a red ink auto which has a print run numbered to 10 (or less). Given how many rip cards their are this year, I'm not touching mine as of yet..but then again I can't even get 3/4 of a box price for it and don't expect my rookie premier to sell ( and given topps has been live for a week there are only 2 on the bay).
