In just the first quarter against the Spurs recently, Lopez showed enough talent that people around the league are now wondering if he should have been a top-3 selection on draft night. First he scored on a nice half-hook against Tim Duncan in the low post. Late in the game, however, he rushed his shots some, never getting his footwork right. And the Nets lost by three in San Antonio. If Lopez learns to slow down when he should, his field goal percentage should balloon, which would help the Nets a great deal and continue to establish him as one of the rising stars in the league.

IMO he should of been a top 5 no doubt. What he did at Stanford as a freshman was amazing. He'll only get better. The only thing I hate is, because he's a big guy even if he explodes into a all star his cards won't be worth as much as a semi star guard. I do think 3-4 years down the road the Nets will be contenders if they can keep him and Harris, maybe pick up one more good player.

But if you do decide to sell it, please let me know. If I were you I would hold on to it. I'm guessing when one pops up on ebay I'll be able to snag it fairly cheap.

Yeah, I've sold a few of his autos in the past and they're not too expensive to pick up. Nobody realizes how good this kid really is.. yet

I'm really hoping to get enough out of the Bayless to hang onto the Lopez, although I think Bayless is another one who could standout in the league.

I know, as far potential goes your boxes were great. I think alot of people do know how good Lopez is. However he plays for the Nets and he's a big man. I believe he put up 31 pts. a few weeks ago. If Rose did that his cards would jump even more.

Nice cards. Am I seeing your Bayless 1/1 correct? Is the card supposed to have "Portland" embossed in the lower right corner instead of "City Name"? a 1/1 error!!!

If it's an error, they did it on many of these letterman cards, not just mine, so it appears to be a global issue. I think things may have gone downhill a little bit ever since they lost their Basketball license. I mean... who knows who's/what's manning the design software. My guess? Drunken Monkeys from Tahiti

Maybe UD just added another subset letter patch auto. Along with the "full name" they added "city name"....I dont know, just a thought.

The 1/1 E is on FLEEBAY right know... It also says "City Name"

Don't get me wrong Indy... those are great cards. But wouldn't it be nice to have someone at UD that actually gave a damn about collation, quality etc???

Yes. I don't think it'll happen in my lifetime though. It's all about $$$ and not us collectors. I don't care what they say. I was taught to never listen to what someone says, watch what they do. I still buy cards because I'm an addict, but overall I think the collector (you, me) are overlooked when it comes down to the nitty gritty.

Oohhhh... my bad. I guess there are 2 sets of Letterman cards. 1 set that has the CITY NAME spelled out and numbered accordingly, the other set is the PLAYER'S NAME. I get it now... duh.
