A redemption for a 1/1 "uncut sheet form 24" Personalized with the name of the redeemer


All-in-all, not a bad break. I got 18 cards out of the case. The Paul and 1/1 uncut sheet are the money-makers. There are a few of the uncut sheets (other forms) up for auction right now. I am not sure how to go about selling the redemption. The "Limited Logos" are the best looking exquisite cards I have seen. A large, multi-colored swatch with a sharp auto. Very nice. I think the Tyrus Thomas might do ok. All except the Paul, Uncut sheet, Farmer RC and Peja are on eBay right now. THe uncut sheet and Paul will go up tomorrow.

I can't believe that people don't understand the English that is written on the back of these cards. No where on the back of these redemptions for the uncut sheets does it say that the sheet will be personalized. It says that when you redeem it a reservation "will be created in your name" for the uncut sheet - that is not personalization that just means that they will hold it for you.... This language has appeared on other items before from UD

I understand the English perfectly well Dobber. In fact, I didn't get my info from the back of the card, I got it from a UD rep that I talked to on Friday afternoon. So, if I am wrong, it is because the UD rep didn't know what he was talking about.

I hope that they would not put names on the sheets - can you imagine what it would do for resale value?? At the top of the sheet that you want to buy it says "produced exclusively for Joe Smith" and your name is Mike Johnson... I would imagine that it would hurt long term resale value of the sheets - I am hoping that your UD rep did not know what they were talking about. You are going to be fine as you are selling the redemption and don't have to deal with it.....

I agree. That was my first reaction as well. It will have a lot of value for whoever redeems it, but apart from that, not so much.

I am hoping that the guy was wrong. He said that most of the full-time staff was at a card show in Cleavland, so I will try to call them again this week.

Yeah, I had NO thoughts of redeeming it myself. These things are new this year and I have no idea how many there are and what they will go for. Do you have any guess as to potential value? I have had a couple offers, but I don't know if I would be getting a good deal or not.

Hopefully the guy was wrong that you talked to - over the years I have talked to lots of guys there that couldn't pick Michael Jordan out of a lineup let alone discuss cards.....

I think that there are more of these than people think - I can't immagine that the sheets with patches / autos have the patches and autos on the sheet - the sheets would have to be sent to every player for signature - could you immagine the condition??

The first ones sold for $1500 BIN on Ebay - If I could get between $1500-2000 for it I would take it and never look back - I don't think that these will be as desirable long term as people think - they are tough to store, tough to look at, hard to display etc....

When I saw the title I thought what a brave man there have to be some long expired redemptions in that case. Then I saw the post date. Why is a member with extensive feedback, posts, and time on these boards bumping such an old thread? You should know better.
