FINALLY received my case last night. Unsure what to make of the results, but I have definitely seen worse.

The slabbed stuff:

2010/11 Timeless Treasures Material Ink Allen Iverson Auto Jersey #/10 BGS Authentic (10 auto).

2010/11 Gold Standard Kobe Bryant 24-Karat Auto (Card No.6 in the set) #/49 BGS 9 (10 auto) - subs: centering 10, corners 8.5, edges 9, surface 9.5.

2007/08 Sp Rookie Edition Kevin Durant Rookie Autographs (card No.61) not numbered BGS 9 (10 auto) - subs: centering 9.5, corners 9, edges 9, surface 10. Pretty unlucky to only get a 9 for the edges on this one IMO. Really has the look of a BGS 9.5 actually. The auto is the most perfect Durant sticker auto you could hope for.


My thoughts:

1) I am baffled at why you would send a card that was CLEARLY never going to grade above 8 (the corners are pretty awful) to Beckett to get it slabbed as 'Authentic'. Are there really any collectors on the planet who would pay more for an 'Authentic' grade than an ungraded card?

2) There are FAR too many Panini cards in this release. Fair enough having some National Treasures in there, but Timeless Treasures?? Really??

3) I'm happy to get a REAL Durant auto rather than these stickers they are putting on freakin base cards. Nobody on the planet wants that junk. How can Leaf think otherwise?


I apologise but I am unable to post scans at present as I am in the process of moving house. I'm not moving any of these cards just yet either as I'm too busy with the move. Just wanted to gauge some opinion on how I did and let others know what's being pulled.
