Took half of a fresh box off the counter. Lebron Changing Times. Durant Fireworks. Cole Aldrich jersey. Hersey Hawkins Elusive auto. Grant Hill Spurs Sp. How often are these SPs falling?

the SP base variations are what I assume you are referring to fall about 1 per 2.5 boxes. I busted a case and got 5

Hopefully you didn't pull any which would mean they really are sps. No offense. Anyway, they look like the regular base but have white borders and red stripes at the top and bottom of the card with previous team names (KG-wolves, Grant-Spurs, etc).

They look like this:
11/12 Panini PAST & PRESENT STEVE NASH SP VARIATION #17 2011-2012 | eBay

There are 50 ( I think) in total. Sort of like an alternate or parallel of the base cards. I heard they are 1:2-3 boxes, but I saw a box the other day with Deandre, Pippen and Bosh variations in it!
