Fun change of pace: 94-95 Skybox Emotion

I rarely break anything, but had the opportunity to buy this box for $40.

This was my favorite product from my childhood, and I figured why not.

I have the set already done, and the X-Cited (1:4) insert set done, but still need a few from the N-Tense (1:18) insert set. I thought I might be able to pick a few up.

So here goes:

Pretty standard break I assume. I didn't get anything I didn't already have, but it was fun taking a trip down memory lane. I should be able to put together another base set at the least.

Nice break, thanks for sharing. Box packs! They used to sell for $5 a pack back in the day and I remember that was considered 'high end.' Oh how things have changed.

Funny you say that, I can remember having a $5 a week allowance and a lot of times buying a pack with the money. I would always have to dig through the couch cushions for the extra quarter for sales tax (which I believe was 5% at the time).

Oh man I loved this set! I thought this was the future of cards! It was such a different product than anything else. Thanks for sharing!

I remember that the jordan base was around the $20s, the Ntense topped the $100. It was a pretty nice product and the first product with thick cards....

I just did the exact same thing a few months back. I found a sealed box at the lcs and had to pick it up. I have many fond memories of this set.

I miss stuff from that era(Skybox,Ultra,Flair,etc...). I have a bunch of it but still think it would be cool to see Kyrie Irving or Damian Lillard on a Finest Refractor or an SP Foil Die Cut!
