I just got back into cards after about 5 years off and found this forum when looking for what's new.
Watched the beginning of the Limited group case break yesterday and got the itch to try some and post what I got as my first post here. Here's the jerseys and autos: Box 1 Jordan Hill Jumbo Jersey 06/99 Gerald Henderson Rookie Phenoms Jersey/Auto 062/299 Dennis Rodman Glass Cleaners auto 39/49 ![]() Box 2 Mitch Richmond Retired Numbers Jersey 18/99 Sam Young Jumbo Jersey/Auto w/ small stitch 35/49 Wayne Ellington Rookie Phenoms Jersey/Auto Redemption /299 ![]() Box 3 DeMarre Carrol Jumbo Jersey 61/99 Toney Douglas Jumbo Jersey/Auto 20/49 Chase Buddinger Rookie Phenoms jersey/auto Redemption /299 ![]() Base Cards: Greg Oden 162/199 Kurt Thomas 142/199 Emeka Okafor 089/199 David Lee 183/199 Baron Davis 070/199 Banner Season: Tony Parker silver parallel 1/25 Legends: Jamal Mashburn 85/99 Shawn Bradley 37/99 Retired Numbers: Oscar Robertson 61/99 Team Trademarks: Andrew Bogut 38/99 Braondon Roy silver parallel 20/25 Glass Cleaners: Bill Russell Gold parallel 9/10 Three hits per box with low numbers are pretty good, but as always, it depends on who the hits are. Redemption cards suck if they come as the second to the last card since I've seen the better Rookie Phenoms come out it other case/box breaks posted. There are a handful of Kobe auto redemption cards on ebay and I assume those would be the second hit in the pack since that's where I got the Rodman auto. Also the store I bought them in had smaller cases of 5 boxes/packs rather than the 15 box case in the group case break from yesterday. Anybody know the difference, if any? |

Kurt, welcome to the board.
I am not sure why your shop had a 5 box case. Did it have Panini on the side and at least look similar to our Master Case? Sometimes companies will package items differently so that big shops/little shops don't have to order the same quantities. Or, whoever the distributor was that your shop ordered it from packaged it for them. Think of it similar to a UPS store. It'll look nice but it'll be different from a FACTORY pack job.

To answer your question, yes the boxes had Panini printing directly on the box and, if I remember correctly, there was the special tape sealing the box. The store owner had a similar explanation to the post below yours. I wasn't aware of the different distribution methods. I thought "hobby" would be one way and "retail" the other. |

Here are the last two boxes of the original short 5 box case.
Better than the first 3, and can't complain about the rookie auto in the Box 4. Box 4 ![]() Box 5 ![]() I got some "good" commons and when I saw the Kobe's legs on the glass cleaner, I had some hope, but not today. Thanks for all the comments. |
