Default Draymond Green - Flailing Leg Syndrome

And he was at it again...

https://www.yahoo.com/news/draymond-...142549770.html

How has he not been suspended a game??? The NBA can't let him keep doing that

Dude is lucky people like Shaq, Barkley, and Malone aren't in the NBA. He'd get smacked to the ground trying something like that

I'm not sure he'll escape these Playoffs without missing a game.

Even if you've done this your whole career that doesn't excuse it. Control your limbs man. Countless other players have had great careers without kicking people in the groin or in the head. People call Delly dirty then what do you call this?

More evidence he should have been suspended and an example made.

They will end up in the Finals, he will get suspended, and the Cavs will get an asterisk

Then we get to argue another 12 months

Inevitable

Always bending the rules for the top ten players in the league.

It's ridiculous. There seems to have been no press on this one, the game after he kicked Adams.

Guess he keeps doing it until he spreads someone's nose across their face, then he'll get a one game ban or something feeble.
I do like the comedy of FLS.....
This and Paul's accidental nut punches...

I mean what kind of man thinks it's ok do continuously do that against his fellow professionals?

I think he did it on purpose so people will think he kicked Adams unintentionally.
He's trying to sell a lie and I ain't buying.

LOL, not going to lie, that's a pretty impressive kick to Andre's face, he got some height on that.

Dude must have this as part of his practice routine. Of course there are people who'll say this is his normal shooting movement, haha.

Looks like lack of body control. Unintentional for the most part.

Can someone please show me in the rulebook where it states that you receive a personal or technical file if you are flailing your legs.

It's OK because he always does it. If it was a one-time thing, it would be bad, but since he's always trying to kick people, it's no big deal if he occasionally connects.

Flailing in the air is not a foul.

Flailing the leg (i.e. kick out) into other player is an offensive foul.

Offensive Foul, shooter kicks out leg into legal defender | NBA Video Rulebook

Of course, any foul can be flagrant foul if the intent is to hurt others.

It probably doesn't because it's never been a recurring theme before.

So you quite ok to with Green 'accidentally' kicking people?

I mean if Adams had accidentally kicked Curry in the nads, and then next game accidentally kicked Iguodala in the head, that's all good cos it's a flailing leg and 'not in the rulebook?'

Immediately thought of Rodman when this started getting press but after watching some clips of Draymond it just gets wierder. I know why Rodman did it. It was controlled and mostly for show among the other gestures he would make/do. With Draymond it's something else. I can't quite put my finger on it lol. It looks like an afterthought at times, especially with the height he gets on some of those. Like a delayed flop cause you'll sprain a knee trying to incorporate that into a shot or jump. And tbh he could have been doing it in his moms womb, once you start to make contact, you can really hurt someone. Habit doesn't make it right. Kobe claimed it was natural when he popped Jaric and Manu with the arm swing. League had to step in.

Why would it be in the rulebook? I'm sure there's no section on the proper procedure if a player brings his pit bull and sics him on an opponent and then shoots him with a paint ball gun before running him over in the Kia Blake jumped over (not really) in the dunk contest, but I assume that's probably frowned upon.

The flailing becomes a foul when it makes contact with another player.

I'm sure no one has a problem with Karl Malone swinging his elbows, if he's standing in the corner of the court with no one around, but when he nails Isiah Thomas with a brutal elbow, that's probably a foul.

I realize you're a Warriors fan, and I realize it's your duty to protect and defend your team, but remember that old saying, ''it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt'', right?

That kind of applies here. It wasn't a big deal before because he wasn't making contact, but he did, and it became an issue because of the stage he's on.

This is the WCF. That shouldn't matter, though, right? But Draymond couldn't get suspended, because...it was the WCF, right? Goes both ways.

The last game, the one where he almost kicked Iguodala in the head...that's 100% blatant and intentional. NO ONE'S body flails like that unless they're made of f'n jelly, or they're doing it on purpose.

I don't think he tried to kick his teammate, but he kicked that leg out to either a.) make contact with the opposing player, or b.) to show everyone watching (yes, we're watching) that he "does it all the time", which still doesn't make it right.

That would be AWESOME.

LOL

Oh, and he either kicked Westbrook/Roberson in the face, or came very close. That's BS.
