That looks awesome! I always stayed away from Threads because of the Generic Lettermans, but I really like the rookie autos. Kind of like Topps Hardwood or Trademark Moves with the wood fronts. I also am glad that they're having the rookies sign the jersey die-cuts and not just vets. I look forward to this one

I actually like the hardwood on-card autographs, but I wonder how much they will bleed and fade over time. Anyone have any experience with an autograph on a wood-based item like this?

Not bad overall, I am not a fan of the base jerseys/patches which look like garbage.

agreed. what makes panini and their design team think that they can put an awkward circle of jersey/patch/blob in the middle of an action shot, i'll never understand

i think the hardwood on-card autos should've been left for contenders. if they're gonna do manufactured patches for prestige, r&s, timeless treasures, and contenders, then they should've kept the letters instead IMO and taken out one of the other ones. i keep sayin that the letters are waaaay more collectible and interesting than uhh hmm prestige doing on-patch autos and then r&s doing THE EXACT SAME THING but with a diff logo. at least with letters, you can try and get many to create a name...

I find it odd that a product that is called Threads has a basketball court design and wooden card stock for the True RC's

It also reminds me of these cards from Topps Gold Label about 10 years ago

I'm glad they're moving forward with more on card autos but if panini still numbers each card to 600+, there's not much value in the product.

those wood cards look great but i'm done with this year's stuff outside of picking up some singles and a few packs here and there. my money is going towards next year's class (lockout be damned). if the guys go pro that i expect, along with the seniors in college, i've got like 6 or 7 guys that i'll be looking to collect.
