1. We are in a recession so people are less likely to spend money on expensive entertainment (ie sporting events) 2. Since the 60s, 70s, even 80s, the NBA has been experiencing huge growth.

What?! Actually the NFL has grown even in this recession much better than the NBA and its expensive entertainment if not more, so it can be done. The NBA is just not as popular as it was. And exactly Since the 60s, 70s, even 80s, the NBA has been experiencing huge growth and it has done well up until this point, now with the extremely marketable HEAT. But basketball is the third most popular sport and it always will be. Honestly hopefully the Kings leave, they play with no heart and I'm tired having them represent my city.

One more good draft pick and a good FA and they are at the top of the league.

Whats crazy is that the Nuggest seem to have almost everything to be a Championship Contender....If they were to add a guy like Monte Ellis or Ben Gordon(Before he made the career mistake and went to Detroit) they would be there.....But if you take Melo out I dont see them making the playoffs in the west.

I 'd rather have no team than what I see from these kings I watch not in and night out. If they were bad but played with with lots of effort and with intensity than I wouldn't mind but they are embarrassing. And if they left it would be fine with me. We are the worst team in the NBA, the clips beat us by 20, We are garbage! Why would you waste your money supporting that? People now go just to see who the kings are playing not for the actual kings. I might go just to boo, im disgusted. Its been a 180 from my 01/02 kings. That was the best team never to win a championship.

Even if they're bad I still enjoy rooting for them because when they DO win, it makes me feel good.

They have started 5 guys all under the age of 23 for the last 3 weeks. They have beat some good teams in the Thunder and Hornets, and they have played some very good teams close like the Jazz. About the Kings... Tyreke Evans does not look like the same player he was last year. Teams are closing the lanes for his dribble penetration and that is what is keeping him to 17 ppg. Other players aren't giving them the same production either..Casspi, Landry, Thompson, Garcia, they are all having down seasons. Cousins has played like the critics said he would, and being moved to the bench hasn't helped his game at all. Their coach might be looking for a new job in about a month.

Back when Jordan played I watched them every night I could, now I could care less. It is not as exciting as it used to be. Players do not care, no one plays defense. I would raise the goal up to 12 feet and make the players play the game instead of seeing who can get on sportscenter that night.

I hate the no one plays defense angle, or the guys in college play better defense. In the NBA you are trying to guard the world's best offensive players. In college you are playing guys that will never sniff the NBA so it makes it seem like you are really doing something if you reach down and smack the floor.
World's greatest offensive players > bunch of white dudes who won't even plain the the Euroleague.
