Thoughts on Topps Letterman

I'm thinking about ordering a case from BO, but don't do a ton of basketball. To me this product looks pretty good..what about the rest of you that do basketball regulary?

I'm in the same spot as you. It looks very interesting and a case would be the way to go. I've joined the group break so I'll wait to see how that goes.

I, personally, think bkb is on the decline. The value definitely is not there any longer. I use to buy a lot of bkb but haven't bought anything in about 8 months.

out of three cases i've seen, maybe... MAYBE 20% back on each box. If that. 60$ a pack for a manufactured letter or patch? No thanks. one out of the 3 packs does'nt even have an auto. Talk about waste! That pack alone maybe nets you 5$-15 depending on player. Complete garbage.

The only thing it has going for it is it's pretty easy to complete a letterman set for a player. I think that's what the manu patches are really for.

I think I'm buying singles off of ebay rather than buy a box or two. Looking at ended auctions, I might get P-A-U-L all auto'd for about $200.

Its an interesting product. I like when they try new things to stir the hobby pot, but I'm not sure it will be very easy to make your money back. I bought a box (3 mini packs) at the local shop and got an Oden scenic signatures /19. They're going to sell it for me and I'm hoping I at least get my box money back, but looking at some of the completed auctions I'm not so sure. Then curiousity got the better of me so I decided to buy a mini box today and got a 1/1 Yi numbers jersey and I have no idea what that will go for either based on completed auctions. I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay away from Letterman now and just hope for the best.

I honestly think its pretty good a good friend of mine, did a box and pulled a Wade Quad Jersey Auto 1/1 and a Chris Paul auto fold out nameplate 2/5. Also he hit a few solid rookies including durant.
