COA?

I know everybody here collects cards, but I think some of you may also collect 8x10 photo, basketball, or jersey, which signed by your favorite player. I've read a lot of articles about real or fake COA, but I'm still not sure which one should I believe that it's an authentic one. I have 2 items that certified by the different companies. The first one is World Wide Authentics. I think this seller just made it himself 'cause it's printed out in an A4 paper using Microsoft Word. The second one is from Sports Centre, which I read from a source on eBay and they said it's a good COA company. By the way, it said on the COA that I can log onto www.scatickets.com to check and confirm my item serial number. After I log on that website, I couldn't find anywhere that I can do so. Recently, I found an item that certified by D&B Sports. Is it reliable? What should I check out exactly on COAs?

my personal opinion is that if you can get an auto with a COA from a semi-repped place on the cheap, that's fine. however i personally only get autos w/COA's from big time places so I don't feel like I'll be ripped off later on if they get proved to be fakes.

I have been collecting autos for over 10 years now and I am always iffy about purchasing autos with COA's from non reputable companies. Companies like Steiner Sports, Mounted Memories, Tri-Star and UDA are the companies that I would always go to first. Third party companies that I also trust are PSA/DNA, JSA and Global (which would be last on my list though). I dont really trust companies that aren't known even if they have the "serial number" stickers. Ever since the serial numbered tamperproof stickers started with legit companies, more and more companies are starting to follow suit. So I really just try to stick to the major autograph companies. You may spend alittle more for the auto, but you know you are safe in purchasing it and your auto is actaully worth more with a known company. Just my 2 cents though
