Anyone else confused as to why someone in the ESPN/USA Today poll would still vote UNC #1? Granted, they may have more overall talent, but that shouldn't be how the polls work...not that they are best way to tell how good a team is IMO.

Well, I'll own up to being the only Hoya fan I've seen on here....at least in this thread. Pitt did hand it to them pretty bad--Georgetown will bounce back though. They are a young team without a lot of depth, but there is a ton of talent with a great coach. The biggest problem right now is that their guards are pretty much all in a HUGE shooting slump over the past 2 games. If it was just the Pitt game, I could blame it on good defense......however, the same can't be said about Notre Dame. That was a terrible loss and ND was not impressive. Georgetown just plain stunk.

Blair was, to me, the scariest player for Georgetown to face in the BE this year and he didn't disappoint (unfortunately!!). I don't see any way a team goes undefeated in any of the tougher conferences in college basketball--UNC is great, but no way they were going to run the table (I know, I can say that now!!). Pitt, I think, should win the Big East, but if they do it with less than 3 losses, I'll be VERY surprised and impressed.

I'm actually glad Georgetown is done playing Pitt, as I will probably root for them most of the rest of the year. They are the type of team, for the most part, that I like. Actually, in the Big East as long as UConn and especially Syracuse are losing.....I'm a happy guy!! This season should be a heck of a ride!
