When you're spending a $1k on cards $400 isn't much to add

Personally, if I had $1,000 to spend, I don't think there is currently a single card listed on eBay that I would want to spend the money on - I'd rather wait and get a better card for that price.

However, I want to play the game, so I'll go for this dual LeBron/Jordan auto which I'm sure you could get with an offer of $1,000.

There are 2 with "best offers" right now on eBay at over $1K - but I'd buy a LeBron James SPA RC Auto #'d to 500

I'm a Cavs season ticket holder so it kills me to type that - but people just hate him so much right now that you can get them in the $600-$700 range depending on condition. When he was leading the Cavs to the best record that was a $1,000 card.

I just think it's a good investment if you think with your head and not your heart - he is still the most talented player in the game.

Jordan RC is already in the collection, an 8 or an 8.5...8.5 I think. Im going to the nationals in a few weeks as well. Im already going to be looking at RC's of Jordan while im down there and a Solid 9, POSSIBLY a 9.5 is already on the want list. I was really thinking of a Jordan/Kobe dual or a Jordan/Lebron dual auto? Otherwise just a sick Jordan. You guys are awesome, this is exactly what I wanted to read to help me out. Thanks and keep posting...

Dont buy a BGS 9.5 Jordan Rc. Trade up for one. If you have a BGS 9, use a bit of money and or trade to land yourself a BGS 9.5. Theres no use keeping a BGS 9 Jordan when you have a BGS 9.5 in my opinion.. This way you arent shelling out cash and hoping to sell something off.

$1K to spend? If we knew what you collect or interest are, it would be much easier.

If you are 90s inserts guy, Id tell you to chase down some low numbered inserts of Kobe. He is still priced decently compared to the whacked out prices or Jordan.

If you are into new stuff and looking to flip for a profit, Id suggest picking up RPAs of upcoming rookies that were pretty silent. Wall sells for pretty cheap being a #1 pick. Also depends on what happens this coming year with the lockout.

If you are into Jordan/Lebron/Kobe or high end player autos, I would totally suggest focusing on ealier autos. Especially of Jordan. His autos were much cleaners in the early days. Opposite for kobe I think. Im not a big fan of dual autos. Or maybe finding a HOF Mulit player auto, like Magic,Bird,Dr J and Etcc from the older SPA sets.

That LeBron/Kobe UD Black Auto Patch is unbelievable.

Orangejello, I think that the stickers slightly detract from the quad UD Black auto, which is a real shame. Still an amazing card, but not as perfect as it should be.
