Sorry... I felt the same way when I lost the first one. I later found out a Bailey Howell super collector got it...

Another obscure one:

Everett Dean, enshrined 1966. The only coach elected to both the Basketball HOF and the College Baseball HOF.

Pretty excited about this one that I just won on eBay.

There aren't too many Vern Mikkelsen autos out there. I really like the fact its a dual auto with his old teammate Slater Martin.

Mikkelsen was one of the first ever power forwards (the position was formed when his coach, John Kundla, decided to use Mikkelsen next to George Mikan, even though they were both centers at the time). Meanwhile, Slater Martin was a phenomenal defender and once held Bob Davies (a great PG in the mould of Bob Cousy) to zero points in one particular game.

Congrats, Will! That's a beauty. I have one too, so welcome to the family

I finally got myself a Tom Gola autograph.

He's arguably the greatest player in college basketball history: 20.9ppg, 19.0rpg (holds the NCAA record with 2,201 career rebounds), NCAA champion, 3 x NCAA All-American 1st Team, NBA champion, 5 x NBA All-Star.

I've got these 4 Exquisite autos incoming (I thought it'd make a change from Chronology!)...

I believe Elgin Baylor only has three Exquisite autos, but two of them are duals which means this is the only one of him on his own.

Very nice Will. Did you buy all 4 of them from the same person?

I got them all together from a seller in Switzerland. He had some others for sale too (Olajuwon, Magic, etc) which sold very quickly.

I really liked the Baylor when I saw it. He doesn't have too many nice autographs. But I didn't want him to be on his own, so I got him some friends

Nathan, that's cool that you've got some of these too! I'm looking forward to seeing these in person. Which players are you looking for?

Would like Hondo and Barry...possibly some others...they pop up on eBay occasionally so I will keep an eye out.

in person those cards look even better than the pics. the gold foil around the border of the pics are lightly etched and shiny and those 2 color strips on the sides are all shimmery/vibrant....they are gorgeous cards, congrats will!
