I'd personally be willing to pay about $2,000 for it, so I think someone else with more money would comfortably find more. $3,000 sounds about right. The owner of that card has some of the rarest HOF items.

Those Legendary Gold Signatures are stunning. Wait until Joe (both Joes!) see this!

I could be very wrong, and that card actually being worth a lot more! The reason I think this is, back around the time Zbob bought this card, having original rookie cards wasn't in style yet, and most people wouldn't dare do such a thing. Thus why you see this card in such poor condition. People would reserve beat up cards like this, if they even thought about possibly getting it signed. Even in this condition, very few people would "damage" further such a card. With vintage cards it's very tricky business because condition is everything, so people would never dare getting a high cindition card signed, so this is probably as good as this card is going to get signed. Years after that, more and more people started to get vintage RC's signed. But by that time is was already took late for George Mikan, as he passed away in 2005. I have a good feeling that only a hand full of these exist signed. For all we know, this card could possibly be a 1/1. Ok, i'm sure there must be more, but very few I bet. Not many people would have been brave enough in 2005 and prior, because the rookie card was still left pure back them, for the most part. You always have those dreamers though so this card was born. If I would have saw that BIN first, I would have hit it with my eyes closed!

As for the UD Legends Golds, I know Joe(15andcounting) already has seen these... however, the other Joe might like them

Also came across this pic!

I remember a guy on the PSA forum bought this for about $300! I think it was a BIN.

What do you think this Mikan is worth? I would imagine $3,000.00 or so...
Wow, I didn't know that Ruben Patterson is in the HOF.

I notice someone mention in another thread about Dikembe Mutombo getting into HOF....what do you guys think about his chances?

I only have two of his certified autograph cards.

1997-98 SkyBox Premium Autographics - this card is for my set building:

1998-99 Topps Autographs (don't have a picture myself, but it's the same as the link below) - wish that this card was signed in silver ink (or fresh blue ink in lighter area of the card):
1998 99 Topps Dikembe Mutombo Auto Autograph RARE Card | eBay

I remember that someone pulled a Atomic Refractor autograph card of him and post it at another thread. (A bit) Bubbly autograph aside, that card is sick!
On a side note, hopefully I can see a Dikembe Mutombo "Private Signings" card in the future. =)

I don't know about HOF but he can sure block the hell out of a box a cereal. LOL JK. In all honesty I think he was a second tier big man of the 90's. But I do think he is deserved of the HOF and I think he'll get in.

I just got basketball HOFer Carol Blazejowski c/o her home address. I tried to post a pic but neither my work scanner or my cell phone camera want to cooperate. I sent her a blank theautograph card and she was kind enough to autograph the front and fill out her information on the back. She is a real sweetheart.

Alright headed to the far off shop today and used a little tax money. Picked up a couple cards to go with the other ones.
I had another Walton but traded it so decided it was time to pick up another one. Picked this up for $12

And then the one I was going to buy from there about a month ago but decided to pass and finally pulled the trigger on it.

He had it listed for $60 and then marked down for $45 but got it for $35. I figured it was ok since it was the prime version.

Nice Mutombo!

Reallly like that Walton, love that set... always did say I will come around to collecting that set. I guess something for me to chase in the future.

Sweet Mullins too! I don't see much of his gu and autos around.

Very nice, guys, congrats to all of you on your new pickups.

Can't go wrong with a Carol auto... I think I have two, but could be just one.

I have to say that I love "Private Signings" more and more. Great mega-set mixed with current players and legends.
Anyway, I have just won this.

Nice Walton card btw. I was planning to bid for a Walton "Private Signings" card not too long ago, but decided against it as I have other priorities.
As for Mullin, hopefully I could get his Autographics cards in the future. Well, I need the for building sets anyway.

That Cunningham auto is very nice. I had the same card but sold it this week because I bought a huge high-end card that I had to fund (which unfortunately meant I had to sell a number of my mid-end cards).

It's definitely Cunningham's best certified auto though.

Cunningham! Yeah, he's definitely a rare auto to get compared to most 50 Greatest players. Very nice pickup. I have the 03-04 UD Legendary Signatures.

I just completed a huge trade on another website where I picked up ceritfied autos of Bernard King, Jerry West and Bill Walton. Sorry I don't have any pics. I'm still always looking for more HOFers so I will post them when I can get them.

Just doing my HOF search and came across this.
Anyone ever seen these before?
Bill Bradley Cut Signature Card 1 1 Auto NY Knicks Senator JSA Certified | eBay

I guess It's Bill Bradley because that is who I was searching for but no where does it say it is Bill Bradley at least from what I can tell. Is JSA legit. I know it's James Spence but didn't he have some problems with his authentications being considered legit?

I've never seen these types of cards... and I wouldn't touch it. Not because it's fake, because i'm sure it's just fine, plus it has authentication. Just don't like the design.

Hairy, love the cards man, can't never go wrong with Inkredible and Epic! WILT!!!!!!!

Being a sticker autograph aside, that is a nice Howell card.

I accessed some old photos.... thought i'd share this. One of my favorite Baylor autographed cards. It had been a huge "white whale" for me for a while before I finally picked it up.

Do you guys feel odd when seeing some HOF'ers autographs are paired with some not-so-much-hobby-love players?
This article came to my mind:
Sports Cards and Memories: April 2011

VERY interesting! Thank you for sharing that. Yeah, some just don't make any sense at all.... even from the day they made the card haha. However, back then, Martin was a BIG deal, so it made sense at the time. This card, to me, is still as amazing as when they came out! But I hear what you're saying.
