Yeah that Jordan dual is SICK!

No. Wilt autos are usually good... I've probably only seen 3 or 4 faded ones for the regular, and I think 2 of these Inkredible Level 2's. Also a couple of Epics, maybe 2 or 3. But most have been good, nice and blue.

Thanks to Paul for post on another thread... looks like we have a seller with a bunch of faded autographs.

Forget the displays people, just store them away in the dark! Unless you don't care what happens to the autograph, like these below

thefaceofhams | eBay

You're 100% correct! Same way I feel sometimes... nice stash you got there! You're making the right move though, at least your autos, refractors, and such, will not fade and stay beautiful like when they came out of packs!

I'm in your same boat, and i've thought of getting a case like this to display whenever I wanna look at the cards together Aluminum Display Show Case for Knives Cards Gun Jewelry | eBay

Like i'm thinking of displaying all my Celtics stuff, take a nice picture, and that would be that. Same for my Lakers stuff, and other things.... Make for a good display for the day, and take a nice sexy picture haha. A couple of hours of light won't do anything every so often.

I definitely need to take out my cards more often. I've only probably looked at the good ones maybe 5 or 6 times.... haha so sad. You're absolutely right, what can we do? You can't have everything.... displaying them would be awesome, but we just can't do it, and keep it's condition.

Oh sweet, glad I could help. Let me know how it goes! I'm not sure which case I want yet, there are others that look nice too. I'm in need of some photos asap!! I sometimes get the urge to look at them, but don't feel up to rounding them all up and then putting them back.... so i think pics of all different categories should do the trick. I'll post the pics if I ever get around to doing it. Just gotta pull the trigger on one of the cases on ebay. Good luck with yours.

What a shame. That's why my cards live in a box and never see the break of dawn

Same here. As much as I would love to have my cards out.... why risk it. Not a risk really, they WILL fade. Just a matter of time.

You've been reported for promoting your card in the wrong section

it's almost been a year now and i've noticed that the blue ink is starting to fade

will post pictures after work
I watched a recent break from Chris on YouTube recently and someone was breaking some older sweet shot and the autos were coming out of the pack almost completely faded!

That's why I steer clear of autos on leather (or similar) or on fabric. The ones of leather seem to commonly fade and the ones on fabric often seem to bleed badly after a while.

Well faded and getting dark are two different things. A card with a blue auto can get to a dark black color with light exposure. But if left in the light long enough, then it will start to fade, and eventually get very light to where you almost can't see it. Some cards are different than others depending on the surface... I don't want to give you bad news, but you may have bought the card that way already if the person before you had it in the light too much. Or he indeed signed in in black ink. You would need more research and see if other Derons are black or blue... but even then, you never know when a player switches pens. But if most are solid blue, and then you see a black one, chances are it's gotten dark from the light, especially if it's not a pure black color, but instead light/dirty(lol) black. It's hard to tell with your photo, and I hope your card is ok.

Yeah, some cards, deending on surface may come out of the pack that way if the product is old... but not most autographed cards though. Most will come fresh and pure blue color(if they're blue...).

Well it all depends on how they store it at the UD company... do they leave it sitting on some table? I would hope not. Who knows, maybe the replacements were signed with a black pen? I can't tell you, I have no clue about that.

Would be terrified to take it out of that holder. Being in there without a penny sleeve for that amount of time, there is a chance that when you open it; it could peel all or part of the front right off the card.
