I think this would be the record high? I didn't want to sell it, but I just couldn't pass up that price.

Just received payment so it's official.

lakernation10 01-16-2012 12:47 AM

UltimateDeron 01-16-2012 12:50 AM

Why did it sell for so much when this card has the same grades and the BIN is less than your ending price?

I saw the same thing. You should just send a BO for the other card and just get it back with a nice profit :)

I noticed that as well. Maybe the buyer is a complete moron.

Qwasian 01-16-2012 12:54 AM

i'm still trying to figure out why 100 people didn't come out the woodwork and attack the guy, while accusing him of fixing the auction/sale? wasn't this a hot topic on the board for the last month? year?

lakernation10 01-16-2012 12:54 AM

What boxes did these come out of btw, series 2 finest?

jhiggy11 01-16-2012 12:55 AM

Impressive, that would pay off my student loan. Congrats.

Qwasian 01-16-2012 12:58 AM

our resident jordan rich guy has a similiar card on sale right now as well........ interesting concept.

tristan20 01-16-2012 01:03 AM

if u purchase a car with the money u just received, post a pic of it on the forum with the jordan next to it, so we can compare the two... lol

Rare23air83 01-16-2012 01:11 AM

Yea there is another BGS 9.5 for sale, but the buyer wanted the sub-grades mine had. 10 Centering and 9.5 Corners. Some of these High End collectors are super picky about sub-grades.

Nothing was fixed. Not sure how one would figure it was?

The Madbacker 01-16-2012 01:13 AM

Man, this is crazy. This has to cool off, right?

I would expect the Tax form from Paypal also.

MI Rob 01-16-2012 01:14 AM

Sad to see someone pay that much.
Jordan wasn't even that good of a player:confused: He should of stuck with golf.

How in the world would you know that the buyer wanted your sub-grades? What, he told you? Why? LOL!!!

Congrats on the "SALE" I guess...

I N S A N E

frankiecgsw 01-16-2012 01:34 AM

18 g? i can do a lot of bad things with that moolah

Burt-Reynolds 01-16-2012 01:34 AM

Wow that is crazy. Congrats man, I can't imagine how people pay this type of coin for a refractor card. This is what makes me check craigslist every morning. How many casual collectors from back in the day that collected Jordan cards might have some of these inserts sitting in a shoebox somewhere that they haven't looked through since 1999 or something and have no idea what they have.

SportsItUpCards 01-16-2012 01:36 AM

^^^^^ We didn't store cards in shoeboxes back in the 90's LOL! That was in the 1980's and before...
