Its the hype driving factor.

The fact that right out of the gate you can make serious $$ on ebay if you pull the right cards.

Just spoke with UD this morning. They're saying the April release date is very "loose" and to not be surprised by more delays (May+). Basically trying to avoid any redemptions. Also said "almost no chance" of Jeremy Lin in this product. "We are trying to work something out with him, but so is everybody... Regardless, probably won't happen in time for this product."

But in essensence, these are not true PMGs as well. The PMGs being released in UD fleer retro are inserts, not a paralell set to the base.

When you have a base set with a 50 player checklist, pulling a parallel of any player isnt that tough. When you have a base set of 200+ players on a checklist and limit the paralells to 1 per case, you create a recipe for success in the definition of hard to find or limited. This is why 90s inserts did so well. When you literally went through a case full of garbage at $80/box - 12 box case and your PMG was Oliver Miller!. Imagine that.

Today you go through a case, and may not pull the /5 of kobe. But you do pull on average 20 autos, 50 other paralells and 200 GU cards lol. Not the case for 97-98 and 98-99 products. You buy a case and you were lucky to get a PMG and maybe a Jersey card.

Great points

Thanks for the news!

Any chance you can find out when they are going to release any sort of checklist?

Also, which of the sets will have on card/sticker autos?

And finally if the PMGs are going to be designed as (1-10 GREEN, 11-50 BLUE, 51-150 RED) or (1-10 GREEN), (1-50 BLUE), (1-150 RED)

Thanks!
