Only way to know is to buy it and send it in to beckett, I bought a Flacco patch that everyone said was fake and mailed it into BGS and came back real.

BGS just flips a coin and that's how they know it's real or fake...and no I don't think this card is real, the "Portland" is way too centered to be real.

Do you know if the set is supposed to be made from Jersey patches as opposed to say shorts or warmups? I don't know the Blazers uniforms well, but it would seem like that patch would not have come from a jersey.

Fakkeeeeee. Patch fakers usually have more than 1 "questionable" patches up for auction at the same time, and he has another "logo" one up now. They are GREEDY.

I thought it was real tell I read this^^^^^
I even called a local shop to make sure that the authintic jrsys had this on it, and they do... But the " Portla" part was not on the jrsy. Maybe in 2006/2007 the jrsys were different

I think the Portland part is too well centered for it to be real, that's what got me and that he's selling others like this...

WHO????
And just so you all know, I was outbid on card just like this one, just without the "portla" part. From last years exquisite that also had a auto. And the centering on that card was A LOT BETTER!

The Blazer logo on that jersey from the team shop is on the laundry tag. The laundry tag would not have raised stitching like what is on the card. Plus, a laundry tag is smaller than the size of a trading card. The full patch used on that card would have to be larger than a trading card since only a portion of it fit on the card, so it definitely did not come from a laundry tag. So I'd say if the patch is real it came from shorts or a warm-up.

Just based on looking at the card itself and no other factors, I'd say its likely fake as the patch definitely did not come from a jersey... however, after actually looking at the seller's other items and the fact that all of his items are private auctions, I'd say the card you're interested in is definitely a doctored patch. Most of this guys "buyback" autographs are bogus as well. I'd say of the cards he has listed, probably 50% are either flat out fake or doctored in some way. I'd stay away unless you're ok with having a likely doctored card in your collection.

Too many red flags.

Stay away!

Exactly what I said ... i was 2 minutes too slow with my post!

Here are 5 golden rules to spot doctored cards:

1) Multiple auctions with highly suspicious, too good to be true patches going on at the same time by the same seller is usually a sign that it's fake.
2) "User ID Private" or private auctions all together, 99.9% fake.
3) If 1 and 2 are true, then 100% fake.
4) Any "logo patch" on a card numbered to 25 or higher, then 97.5% fake.
5) When in doubt, do not buy!
