I just thought I'd share this story. It's nice when guys do something that's good.I get so tired of hearing about players who are in the news for bad stuff.I wish they'd tell us when something good happens. That's why I'm sharing this story.
My little brother plays Challenger baseball (for kids who are handicapped or have some sort of special need who can't play true Little League baseball) and today was his opening day.Usually they have someone throw out the special first pitch.Usually a former pro athlete from the general area.Today they had Koufos there. He went around to each kid and gave them a high five before the opening ceremony started.(Of course he had his Utah Jazz stuff on) He said hello to each kid instead of some people who just wave to the crowd. After the first pitch he stuck around and signed autographs for every kid who came up to him. He'd chat with them and take his time signing. He did not refuse one person and he wasn't in a rush to leave either. He's definately earned my respect. For someone to do something that nice and make so many kid's day,is mind blowing in this day and age.I just thought that I'd share a good story about an athlete with everyone.I'm glad someone didn't forget where he came from and didn't let the money go to his head.I hope you enjoyed the read. |
