About 5 minutes into the game and I don't think the Cavs could be playing any worse. Sloppy passing and ball handling, can't buy a shot, terrible defense inside... just awful.

I've gotta say, I'm extremely happy for the Cavs to be down only 7 points at the end of the first quarter. For as poorly as Cleveland played that quarter, they probably should be down by about 15. Mo Williams is really becoming a liability out there... if he can't turn it around soon in this series, it may be time to dust off Daniel Gibson and see if he's got any playoff magic in him this year like he did in 2006-07. Hopefully its just this series that is giving Mo such problems... he played so well this season and the first two rounds.

Maybe getting elbowed in the face was just what Mo Williams needed to motivate him the rest of the series... he sure came back out of the locker room and hit those free throws like a champ, despite looking like he just went a round with Manny Pacquiao.

I love Mike Brown as the coach, and I respect him wanting to go with the guys that got him here... but its obvious adjustments need to be made, even if its just for this series, that Brown seems to not be willing to make. Joe Smith. Daniel Gibson. Hell, Wally Szczerbiak... all of these guys need to be seeing more minutes (or just not zero!) over guys like Pavlovic, Z (his offense isn't making up for being a defensive liability against Howard), but above all Mo Williams. I'm not suggesting pulling Mo and giving Gibson starter minutes or anything... but Williams shot is just lost out there and it may be too late before he gets it back. Just look at these stats...
Mo Williams '08-'09 Averages: FG% 46.7 3-PT% 43.6 Mo Williams Averages in this series: FG% 32.1 (18-56) 3-PT% 25.0 (6-24) That is the #1 reason the Cavs are down 1-2 right now. If he were even hitting his average numbers, the Cavs would be up 3-0 despite not really having an answer for Dwight Howard. Orlando absolutely deserved to win this game from start to finish. Game 4 isn't a must win, but the Cavs definitely need to show something to redeem themselves after tonights disaster.

No, if anything it was a foul on Howard for pulling Varejao to the floor. Complain all you want about the LeBron fall down foul call, but this one was clean.
