Sarcasm? He may have used the right color, but he most definitely didn't use the same/right pen. The pen that UD has their players sign with is much different than a metallic silver sharpie, which is what whoever signed this must have used. The tip is much thicker and does not have that metallic finish like the original one did.

Just saw that, only time to know who won it is after feedback is left. Then someone's gonna be disappointed with the news

I meant, at least he should have used the right pen. My bad... It is terrible. A trip to Michael's wouldn't have hurt.

Those are both terrible fakes.

Here are 2 really nice fakes, or authentic in person autos:

Michael Jordan Autograph - auto | eBay

90-91 Michael Jordan Skybox Card "AUTOGRAPHED" | eBay

The first one looks incredible. The second one is pretty good and if real would be one of MJ's earlier sigs.

First one looks like it has to be a real IP auto... but of course what are the odds MJ signs so cleanly and tiny on a card like when it's not a sit-down signing? Second one is fake. It's too bubbly, even for MJ's older sig.

This could be a revenge tactic by an EX-wife/GF?

Imagine going through your PC and pulling out your Lebron/Jordan auto and noticing the autos are completely missing. Maybe you shouldn't of went to a bar with the guys on Valentine's day???

He is now selling a fake Scottie Pippen Autographics...

1996-1997 SKYBOX AUTOGRAPHICS SCOTTIE PIPPEN EXQUISITE AUTO | eBay

..and of course people are bidding on it.

Here is what a real Pippen Autographics should look like:

So how can u tell if the auto is fake or not aside from just looking at the auto? Does the autographed card suppose to say autograph on it or the base and the auto version look the same? Or is this another case where he wiped the original autos and put his own auto?

The auto is way off.

It was likely originally authentically signed but then the sig faded, so the guy took it into his own hands to fix it (literally!)

Good question.

I think it could be another case of where something happened to the auto's so whoever whiped it off (rubbing alcohol) and then tried to forge it again but it ended up looking terrible. The auto isn't even close.

Or since these Autographics are faked quite often this could be the case where someone else got ahold of a blank copy (how, I dont know) and then tried to sign it...again, terribly forging a signature.

I do, however, believe I have seen this Pippen for sale by other sellers before, so I do not think that this particular seller forged the signature.

I believed the Autographics cards have a Skybox Seal on them. It's not color in anyway, so it's hard to see in a scan.

You can see the seal in this example:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1996-97-SkyB...item2c65b16eda

Also there is no base version of autographics, all of them should be autographed with a seal.

Nice spamming of exquisite in the fake Pippen autographics. The embossed seal is on some entirely faked ones too I seem to recall hearing in the past but on that one, the auto is off for sure.

Never buy a Jordan "IP auto"

There was a dude recently on ebay that did some incredible fake autos, and i mean INCREDIBLE.

Then he was caught buy the auto pens and he disappeared

Could that card have been from a promotional 'uncut' sheet of GU jersey cards without autos?

I've seen some of those from Exquisite being sold on ebay...have everything but the autos on them...and sell for relatively very little money.

Huh? The authentic one was already posted in this thread. Which card are you referring to?

crazy...there are a lot of "new" entrants to the basketball card hobby who are throwing down big $$ on high-end (like the guy I sold my MJ/Lebron and Kobe/Malone Exquisites to...was his first basketball card purchase)...presuming those are the types of people getting duped on these ridiculous forgeries...

inb4 my terrible reading skills.

my bad, just saw it...thought that was just another same card but not the exact same one as questioned. The autos looked perfect before...don't know why on earth they would want to ruin it.
